Aisha Falode
Aisha Falode is a sports journalist in Nigeria. She is also the President of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL). Afterwards when Raymond Dokpesi was planning his own broadcasting station now known as the African Independent Television (AIT) that she became involved. This later led her to acquire a graduate degree in Mass Communications. Prior this she also worked briefly with NITEL ( Nigerian Telecommunication Limited) and again with the Graduate Telephone Operators Scheme of the then NITEL. Her success story as a sports journalist stems from her involvement in both sports and radio broadcasting. Sports journalism is a form of writing that reports on matters pertaining to sporting topics and competitions. Sports journalism started in the early 1800s when it was targeted to the social elite and transitioned into an integral part of the news business with newspapers having dedicated sports sections. The increased popularity of sports amongst the middle and lower class led to the more coverage of sports content in publications. Nigeria Women Premier League
The NWFL Premiership (formerly Nigeria Women Premier League) is the top-level league for women's association football in Nigeria. It is the women's equivalent of the men's league, the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). Raymond Dokpesi
Chief Raymond Anthony Aleogho Dokpesi (born 25 October 1951) in Ibadan is a Nigerian media entrepreneur. His parents are from Agenebode, Edo state in a family including six sisters siblings. He entered the Nigerian mass media industry with his company DAAR Communications and set-up the Nigerian TV network Africa Independent Television (AIT) He was the organising committee chairman of the People's Democratic Party national conference in 2015. As of March 2020, he is still undergoing a trial on corruption charges. In May 2020, Dokpesi became a COVID-19 survivor. Education Dokpesi started his early schooling with Loyola College Ibadan. Africa Independent Television, also known by its acronym AIT, is a privately owned television broadcaster in Nigeria. It operates Free To Air in Nigeria as the largest privately operated terrestrial television network with stations in twenty-four out of thirty-six states in Nigeria. AIT is also broadcast via satellite television from its operational headquarters in Abuja. AIT is a subsidiary of DAAR Communications plc, available throughout Africa, and via Dish Network to North America. NITEL
Nigerian Telecommunications Limited (NITEL), was a monopoly telephone service provider in Nigeria until 1992 when the Nigerian government enacted the Nigerian Communications Commission act allowing new entrants into the telecommunications sector. The AITEO Cup (a.k.a.
