Airscape is a Belgian trance act composed of Johan Gielen and formerly, Sven Maes. The group also recorded as Svenson & Gielen () and several other pseudonyms. The two man group dissolved in 2005, each going solo. In 2009, Airscape was revived by Johan Gielen. It wouldn't be until 1997 that they would resurrect the Airscape name, and until 2000 that they would become known as Svenson & Gielen. They are known for their songs like "L'Esperanza" (1999) and "The Beauty of Silence" (2000), but are also known for their remixes of singles such as Tiësto's "Sparkles", Vengaboys' "Kiss (When the Sun Don't Shine)", Chicane's "Halcyon" and Delerium's "Silence", the latter of which was used as the lead single release and in the music video of the song when it was re-issued in 2000, reaching the top ...

Silence (Delerium Song)
"Silence" is a song by Canadian electronic music group Delerium featuring Canadian singer and co-writer Sarah McLachlan, first released in May 1999. Over the years, its remixes have been hailed as one of the greatest trance songs of all time, over a decade after its initial release. The Tiësto remix of the song was voted by ''Mixmag'' readers as the 12th greatest dance record of all time. Song The original album version and subsequent radio edit of the song had a much slower tempo than the more well-known remixes and was essentially structured like a pop song, with the characteristic synthetic instrumentation of the more melodic side of ambient music — though including darker overtones, such as the prominently featured Gregorian chant ('' Gloria in Excelsis Deo''). This last element often invites comparison to popular ambient/new age/ world music projects of the 1990s like Enigma and Deep Forest who routinely sample chants from various ethnicities worldwide, though in contrast ...

The Beauty Of Silence
The Beauty of Silence is an uplifting trance track that was composed and produced by Sven Maes and Johan Gielen. The song was a huge hit in Japan and was the title track for a compilation of singles released by Avex. The Beauty of Silence was the theme to the 5th edition of the European dance event called Trance Energy. It has retained its popularity over the years. It has been included on the two-disc album ''Club Nation America'' by Johnny Vicious and Tall Paul. It is also the title track of Svenson & Gielen's only studio album ''The Beauty of Silence''. One of the show points of this tune is the silence transitioning two passages of the tune. Trance is marked by repetitious rhythmic electronic beat and here it is played in point and counterpoint. As a result of the song's success in Japan, it was included on beatmania IIDX 7th Style as a playable song with two other songs licensed by Avex.
