Airdrawndagger
''Airdrawndagger'' is the second studio album by Welsh DJ Sasha. It was released on 5 August 2002 through Kinetic Records and BMG, with a digital download release issued by Deconstruction Records. The album features co-production from Charlie May, Junkie XL and James Holden. It was released with one single, "Wavy Gravy", on 19 August 2002, which had an amateur remix contest held in 2003. Despite the release of ''The Qat Collection'' in 1994, ''Airdrawndagger'' was advertised as Sasha's "debut artist album". Upon release, the album charted on the UK and US Albums Charts, peaking at number 18 and 157 respectively. Alexander Paul Coe (born 4 September 1969), known professionally as Sasha, is a Welsh DJ and record producer. He is best known for his live events and electronic music as a solo artist, as well as his collaborations with British DJ John Digweed as Sasha & John Digweed. He was voted as World No. 1 DJ in 2000 in a poll conducted by ''DJ Magazine''. He is a four-time International Dance Music Awards winner, four-time DJ Awards winner and Grammy Award nominee. Sasha began his career playing acid house music in the late 1980s. He partnered with John Digweed in 1993, touring internationally and producing a series of mix albums (compilations of other artists' work played in a continuous fashion). ''The Qat Collection'' is the debut studio album by Welsh DJ Sasha. It was released on 23 August 1994 through Deconstruction Records. The album features co-production from Tom Frederikse and was released with two singles: "Magic" and "Higher Ground", both featuring vocals from Sam Mollison. Upon release, the album charted on the UK Albums Chart, reaching position 56. Later in 1994, an extended revision of the album was released, titled ''The Qat Collection Version 2''. Charlie May (producer)
Spooky are a British electronic music production and DJ duo consisting of Duncan Forbes and Charlie May. History They debuted with '' Gargantuan'' in 1993 after signing to Guerilla Records. In 1995 and 1996, they released three EPs (''Clank'', ''Stereo'' and ''Shunt'') on their own Generic Records label, followed quickly in mid-1996 by their second album, ''Found Sound''. Two singles from this album were released: "Fingerbobs" and "Bamboo". ''Communicate'' is the fifth mix album by British DJ duo Sasha & John Digweed. It is the first since 1994 to not be part of the '' Northern Exposure'' concept album series. Critical reception ''Communicate'' was met with "mixed or average" reviews from critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, this release received an average score of 53 based on 7 reviews. ''Scene Delete'' (known in full as ''Late Night Tales Presents Sasha: Scene Delete'') is the third studio album by Welsh DJ Sasha. It was released on 1 April 2016 through Late Night Tales on British independent record label Night Time Stories. The album has been described as "unabashedly ambient" and Sasha described it as "a split in iscareer". Upon release, the album appeared on the UK Albums Chart, peaking at number 34. Four singles were released from the album, "View2", "Warewolf", "Pontiac", and "Bring on the Night-Time". In 2017, three remix singles were released in 2017 comprising remixes of songs from the album, before a remix album, ''Scene Delete: The Remixes'', was released on 19 May 2017. Kinetic Records
Kinetic Records was a New York City-based record label founded by Steve Lau (founding member of Sire Records act the Ocean Blue), and co-owned with Alyson Shapero. The label launched the careers of artists and DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, BT, Ray Munns, Deepsky, Kosheen, Tilt, Timo Maas, Grace, Sandra Collins, Billy Thermal, Binary Finary, and Shpongle. ''Involver'' is a mix album by Welsh DJ Sasha. It was released on 14 June 2004 through British record label Global Underground. Tracks by other artists which Sasha admired were chosen for the album and have each been remixed to give his own interpretation of them. It received generally favorable reviews for its track selection and creative mixing techniques. The compilation features additional co-production from British producers Charlie May and Simon Wright. It is Sasha's only mix album to chart on the UK and US Albums Chart, peaking at numbers 61 and 200 respectively on release. ''Xpander'' is an extended play (EP) by Welsh DJ Sasha. It was released on 5 July 1999 through Deconstruction Records, and features co-production from Charlie May, Andy Page and Gaëtan Schurrer. The EP charted on release, peaking at number 18 on the UK Albums Chart. In 1999, the EP won an award at the International Dance Music Awards for "Best Techno/Trance 12"".
