First Lieutenant Aiden Ford, USMC is a fictional character in the 2004 Canadian-American Sci-Fi Channel television series ''Stargate Atlantis'', a military science fiction show about a combined civilian and military team exploring another galaxy via a network of alien transportation devices. Played by Rainbow Sun Francks, Aiden Ford is introduced as a main character in the season one premiere " Rising", holding the military rank of first lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. Ford is a regular in season one. He appears in a recurring role season two and appears once in a dream sequence in the season five premiere episode Search and Rescue. Rainbow Sun Francks (born 3 December 1979) is a Canadian actor known for his role as Lt. Aiden Ford in the television show ''Stargate Atlantis'', and his recurring roles on ''The Listener'', ''The Umbrella Academy'' and ''High Fidelity''. Early life and family Francks was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is the son of Canadian actor and musician Don Francks and African-American dancer Lili Red Eagle, who is originally from North Richmond, California. He is an adopted member of the Plains Cree First Nation. He is also the younger brother of Cree Summer. Career Francks was an on-air personality at MuchMusic, a Canadian music video and variety television channel. John Sheppard (Stargate)
Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard, USAF is a fictional character in the 2004 Canadian-American military science fiction television series ''Stargate Atlantis'', which chronicles a civilian operation exploring the Pegasus Galaxy via a network of alien transportation devices. Portrayed by Joe Flanigan, Sheppard holds the military rank of lieutenant colonel in the series and is the second-in-command of the Atlantis Expedition following the death of Marshall Sumner (Robert Patrick) in " Rising". Sheppard and Rodney McKay (David Hewlett) are the only characters to appear in all one hundred episodes of the series. Carl Binder (born August 10, 1960) is a Canadian television writer and producer. He is most noted for his contributions to the ''Stargate SG-1'' and ''Stargate Atlantis'' series as well as ''Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman'' and ''Little Men''. Binder currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia. Career Binder, who hails from Ontario, has worked extensively in television since the mid-1980s. Brad Turner is a Canadian film director, television director and photographer. Life and career Born in Bayfield, Ontario, Canada, on June 22. He graduated with honours from the Television Arts Program at H. B. Beal Secondary School in London, Ontario. In all he has directed thirteen films, and over two hundred episodes of television. He has been nominated six times for Gemini Awards for directing, and in 2004 he won one for his work in the CBC mini series '' Human Cargo''. "The Siege" is the season finale for season one and season premiere for season two of the military science fiction television series ''Stargate Atlantis'', and the nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-first episode of the series overall. The episodes were written by executive producers Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie (part two) and Martin Gero (part one and three), and all three were directed by Martin Wood. The episodes were one of the series strongest in season 1 on Nielsen ratings and part three gathered the strongest rating with " Instinct" in season 2.
