AiLive Inc. (formerly iKuni) is a software company based in Mountain View, California. The company was co-founded in 2000 by software programmer and developer Wei Yen and by computer engineer Xiaoyuan Tu. The company has worked closely with Nintendo on the development of motion-sensing hardware, tools and software for the Wii video game console. Xiaoyuan Tu
Xiaoyuan Tu (born 1967) is a Chinese researcher and computer scientist specializing in machine learning, behavior modeling, physics modeling, biomechanical modeling, motion control interfaces, and intelligent virtual characters. She holds a Ph.D in computer science from University of Toronto and currently serves as a lead scientist and software engineer at Apple Inc, researching and developing next generation motions control and recognition technology. Education Tu attended Tsinghua University where she earned BEng in control theory and information science. She then continued her education at McMaster University earning her MSc in computer science with a focus on algorithms for parallel computation between the years 1990 and 1991. Wei Yen
Wei Yen () is a Taiwanese-American technologist and serial entrepreneur. He has been involved with several companies, including most recently as Chairman and Founder of AiLive. Yen received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in Operating Systems and Artificial Intelligence from Purdue University. Yen and his brother David Yen along with King-sun Fu published the pape"Data Coherence Problem in a Multicache System"that describes a practical cache coherence protocol. PlayStation Move
is a motion game controller developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Initially released in 2010 for use with the PlayStation 3 home video game console, its compatibility was later expanded to its successor, the PlayStation 4 in 2013, its PlayStation VR platform in 2016 and the PlayStation 5 in 2020.
