Martti Oiva Kalevi Ahtisaari (; born 23 June 1937) is a Finnish politician, the tenth president of Finland (1994–2000), a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and a United Nations diplomat and mediator noted for his international peace work. Ahtisaari was a United Nations special envoy for Kosovo, charged with organizing the Kosovo status process negotiations, aimed at resolving a long-running dispute in Kosovo, which later declared its independence from Serbia in 2008. In October 2008, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize "for his important efforts, on several continents and over more than three decades, to resolve international conflicts". Marko Ahtisaari
Marko Ahtisaari (born 1969 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish technology entrepreneur and musician. Ahtisaari has been CEO and co-founder of two technology companies: Dopplr (acquired by Nokia in 2009) and Sync Project (acquired by Bose in 2018). After the acquisition of Dopplr, Ahtisaari was executive vice president of Design at Nokia and later a Director's Fellow at the MIT Media Lab. He is a composer, bassist and singer in the band Construction. Early life Marko Ahtisaari is the son of Martti Ahtisaari, a former UN diplomat and President of Finland, and Eeva Ahtisaari, the former First Lady of Finland. He attended Columbia University, where he studied philosophy, economics and music. Work Ahtisaari's business career started at a new media company Satama Interactive in 1998. Eeva Ahtisaari
Eeva Irmeli Ahtisaari (née Hyvärinen, born 18 June 1936) is a Finnish teacher and historian who was the First Lady of Finland from 1994 to 2000. She is married to the 10th President of Finland Martti Ahtisaari. Their son is the musician Marko Ahtisaari. Life Eeva Ahtisaari graduated from the University of Helsinki in 1962 and worked as a history teacher in Kuopio, Rovaniemi and Espoo. In 1974–1989, Ahtisaari lived in Tanzania and Namibia as her husband Martti Ahtisaari worked as a diplomat and UN Special Representative. Ahtisaari's autobiography ''Juuret ja siivet'' (Roots and Wings) was published in 2002. On 21 March 2020, it was announced that Eeva Ahtisaari was tested positive for the coronavirus. She attended the International Women's Day concert on 8 March at the Helsinki Music Centre while infected.
