Ahmedabad Smash Masters
Ahmedabad Smash Masters was a badminton team owned by Padmanabh Sports Pvt. Ltd. for the Premier Badminton League (PBL). The team's home ground was The Arena by TransStadia, Ahmedabad. In the 2017-18 season, the team was captained by Indian badminton player H.S. Prannoy, and coached by Madhumita Bisht. In the 2018-19 season, the team was captained by Viktor Axelsen from Denmark. The team was folded after 4th season due to financial issues. History The team's first season in the PBL was in 2017. The Badminton team was owned by Padmanabh Sports Private Limited. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or if a fault has been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) the opposing side. The shuttlecock is a feathered or (in informal matches) plastic projectile which flies differently from the balls used in many other sports. Reginald Lee Chun Hei
Reginald Lee Chun Hei (, born 25 January 1994) is a Hong Kong badminton player. He is a former Asian Champion and World Championships bronze medalist in the mixed doubles category partnered with Chau Hoi Wah. Career Reginald Lee Chun Hei participated in the 2010 BWF World Junior Championships and placed third. He placed fifth a year later. 2012 he started at the Asian Badminton Championships and represented his country in the qualification for the Thomas Cup. Liew Daren
Liew Daren (born 6 August 1987) is a Malaysian badminton player. His biggest success to date is having won the 2012 French Open Super Series. He reached a career high ranking of World No.10. He also represented Malaysia competed at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games and 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Early life Liew was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was educated at the Taman Midah Primary School. He began playing badminton at the age of seven. His brother was once a national badminton player. Liew started to play badminton professionally in 1998. Kirsty Gilmour
Kirsty Gilmour (born 21 September 1993) is a Scottish badminton player who has represented both Scotland and Great Britain. Career Gilmour won the silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, losing out to Michelle Li of Canada in the final and becoming the first Scottish player to reach the women's singles finals at the Commonwealth Games. Sourabh Verma (born 30 December 1992) is an Indian badminton player. He is a three time men's singles title Champion at the Indian National Championships. Verma reached a career high world ranking of no. 28 in December 2019. Career overview Sourabh Verma started his career in badminton at the young age introduced by his father Sudhir Verma.
