Ahmed Hassan Moussa
Ahmad Hassan Moussa (Arabic: احمد حسن موسى ; born 17 June 1981) is a Qatari decathlete. He represented his country at the 2004 Summer Olympics and is a two time Asian Champion in the event (2002 and 2007). Moussa was the bronze medallist at both the 2002 Asian Games and the 2007 Military World Games. He has won three Arab Athletics titles for Qatar and won the gold medal at the 2007 Pan Arab Games. His personal best of 7730 points is the Qatari national record for the decathlon. Career Based in Al-Sadd, Doha, Moussa won the Arab junior decathlon title in 1998 and went on to finish twelfth with a personal best of 6872 points at the 1998 World Junior Championships in Athletics. He also won at the Gulf Cooperation Council Athletics Championships that year – the first of three straight victories from 1998 to 2002. Al Sadd Sports Club ( ar, نادي السد الرياضي, lit=Dam Sports Club) is a Qatari sports club based in the Al Sadd (Qatar), Al Sadd district of the city of Doha. Pavel Vladimirovich Andreev ( uz, Павел Владимирович Андреев; born November 24, 1978 in Tashkent) is an Uzbekistani decathlete. He is a two-time Olympian and a three-time medalist for the decathlon at the Asian Athletics Championships. Andreev made his official debut for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where he did not finish the men's decathlon event for failing to attain a mark in the long jump. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Andreev competed for the second time in the men's decathlon, along with his compatriot Vitaliy Smirnov. Athletics At The 2002 West Asian Games
At the 2002 West Asian Games. the athletics events were held in Kuwait City, Kuwait in April 2002. It had a men's only programme containing seventeen track and field events. Several athletics events usually held at multi-sport events were excluded from the schedule: the steeplechase, 10,000 metres, javelin and discus throws, marathon and race walking events were all absent. All of the twelve countries present at the games sent athletes to compete in the athletics and eight of them reached the medal table. Qatar finished with the most medals, taking seven gold medals in a haul of sixteen.
