Age Pryor
Age Pryor is a New Zealand musician and songwriter. He records and performs solo, he plays many instruments and is a founding member of the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra, The Woolshed Sessions, and Congress of Animals, and is also a contributing artist to the group Fly My Pretties. Pryor had his songs played on b.net. Pryor contributed two songs to the Miramax feature film ''Eagle vs Shark, Eagle Versus Shark''. The film was written and directed by Taika Waititi, who also directed the video for the title song off the 'Shanks' Pony' album. He has also been part of the live band that features on the Flight of the Conchords including the first recording, Folk The World Tour, in 2002. The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra is an ensemble of ukulele players based in Wellington, New Zealand. Apart from a double bass the band is composed entirely of ukuleles. Their repertoire consists mainly of covers of modern popular music and some ukulele and New Zealand Standard (music), standards. Costumes and comic banter are also part of the WIUO appeal. Description The increased public profile of one of their members Bret McKenzie — one half of the Flight of the Conchords — combined with the use of their songs for a nationwide advertising campaign for New Zealand bookstore chain Whitcoulls in late 2008 resulted in an increase in their national profile. On 15 December 2008 their ''Little Bit Wonderful EP'' reached no. 32 in the Official NZ Music Chart. The same recording topped the NZ Indie Music Chart for January 2009. Fly My Pretties
__NOTOC__ Fly My Pretties is a collaboration of musicians originally from Wellington, New Zealand who are known for coming together to record live albums, in various locations in New Zealand. The different musical backgrounds of the members make for an eclectic mix of songs on their releases. Fly My Pretties was the brainchild of Barnaby Weir, front man of the Black Seeds and Mikee Tucker of Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa. The objective: To meet, exchange ideas, and then perform and record the results in front of a live audience. History Founded in Wellington in 2004, the ''Fly My Pretties'' cast includes musicians from the Black Seeds, Fat Freddy's Drop, The Phoenix Foundation, Cairo Knife Fight and Paseload to achieve a unique blend of musical styles. Taika Waititi
Taika David Cohen (born 16 August 1975), known professionally as Taika Waititi ( ), is a New Zealand filmmaker, actor, and comedian. Flight Of The Conchords
Flight of the Conchords is a New Zealand musical comedy duo formed in Wellington in 1998. The band consists of multi-instrumentalists Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement.
