The Spaghetti Western is a broad subgenre of Western films produced in Europe. It emerged in the mid-1960s in the wake of Sergio Leone's film-making style and international box-office success. The term was used by foreign critics because most of these Westerns were produced and directed by Italians. Dario Sabatello (1911–1992) was an Italian film producer. He was married to the actress Agata Flori. Biography Sabatello worked as a journalist and an art critic for ''Il Tevere'', the newspaper founded by Benito Mussolini in December 1924. From 1932 to 1934 he had his own art gallery in Rome.
