Alexandru Agache (born 16 August 1955) is a Romanian operatic baritone who has had an active international career since 1979. Possessing a powerful and flexible voice, he has drawn particular acclaim in the operas of Giuseppe Verdi. Career Born in Cluj, Agache was trained at the Cluj Conservatory. He made his professional opera debut in 1979 at the Cluj-Napoca Romanian National Opera as Silvano in Giuseppe Verdi's ''Un ballo in maschera''. Alfred Agache (architect)
Hubert Donat Alfred Agache (24 February 1875 – 4 May 1959) was a French architect and urbanist known for his work in Brazil. Agache was born in Tours to Auguste and Catherine Agache. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris under Victor Laloux. He formally planned the Brazilian cities of Rio de Janeiro, Recife, Porto Alegre and Curitiba in the 1940s and 1950s, supported by the Estado Novo regime in Brazil. And in Porto Alegre his plans for the Redenção Park were realised to host the Farroupilha Revolution centennial fair. While his plans were often too expensive to be completed, they formed the basis of more practical plans, and the affordable parts of his plan were followed for several decades, although in Curitiba the so-called Agache Plan was retired and then superseded by later urban planning efforts beginning in the 1960s. Alfred-Pierre Joseph Agache (; 29 August 1843 – 15 September 1915), also known simply as ''Alfred Agache'', was a French academic painter. Biography Little is known of Agache's life. He was born in Lille, France, and exhibited his work frequently in Paris until his death. He seems to have specialized in portraits and large-scale allegorical paintings. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français, and won a third-class medal in 1885 for his work. He may have been friends with American painter James Abbott McNeill Whistler and French writer Auguste Angellier; the latter dedicated a book to him around 1893. Angel Agache (born 13 August 1976) is a Moldovan politician, deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in the LDPM faction, member of the "Legal Commission, Appointments and Immunities". Dragoș Agache (; born March 8, 1984, in Brăila) is a Romanian swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. He set a new Romanian record of 27.47 to collect a silver medal in the 50 m breaststroke at the 2010 European Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Agache qualified for the men's 100 m breaststroke at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, by clearing a FINA B-cut of 1:01.19 from the World Championships in Shanghai, China. He challenged seven other swimmers on the third heat, including two-time Olympians Martin Liivamägi of Estonia and Carlos Almeida of Portugal. He rounded out the field to last place by less than 0.14 of a second behind Poland's Dawid Szulich and Israel's Imri Ganiel in 1:02.93. Lavinia Agache (later Carney; born 11 February 1968) is a retired Romanian artistic gymnast. She won 10 medals at major international events, including a team gold medal at the 1984 Olympics and three silver medals at the 1983 World Championships (team, vault and uneven bars). She is also the 1983 European champion on balance beam. Gymnastics career Agache took up gymnastics aged seven with Mihai Agoston and Maria Cosma. She was then coached by Béla and Márta Károlyi before their defection to the United States, and later by Octavian Bellu, Adrian Goreac and Maria Cosma. She won the all-around bronze at the 1980 Junior European Championships and the 1981 International Japan Junior Invitational. The Sensée (; pcd, Sinsée) is a river in northern France that crosses the département of Pas-de-Calais. The source is found at Croisilles and passes through Lécluse. It crosses the Canal du Nord at Arleux, and joins the canalized Escaut at Bouchain. The average descent is 2.42%. It is long: upstream of the Canal du Nord, and downstream of the Canal du Nord. The Sensée has many tributaries: the Cojeul, the Trinquise, the Hirondelle, the Agache and the Naville Tortue. A 10th-century document refers to the river by the name of Sensada.
