After The Rain (film)
is a 1999 Japanese and French film. The story is based on the last script written by Akira Kurosawa and is directed by his former assistant director of 28 years, Takashi Koizumi. It was awarded a Japanese Academy Award in 1999. It was chosen as Best Film at the Japan Academy Prize ceremony. Synopsis A group of travelers are stranded in a small country inn when the local river floods. As the bad weather continues, tensions rise amongst the travelers trapped at the inn. A traveling rōnin (masterless samurai), Ihei Misawa takes it upon himself to cheer everyone up by arranging a splendid feast. ''After the Rain'' is the debut album of the American rock group Nelson, released by DGC Records in 1990. The album was a commercial success, peaking at number 17 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and spending 64 weeks on the charts. After the Rainon ''Billboard'' It contained the #1 hit, " (Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection" which was also a gold single. The follow-up single, "After the Rain", also reached the Hot 100's top 10, peaking at #6 in February 1991. The album was eventually certified double platinum by RIAA. Writing and composition Matthew and Gunnar Nelson decided to approach Geffen Records for a record deal. They began talks with A&R executive John Kalodner. ''Impressions'' is an album of live and studio recordings by jazz musician John Coltrane, released by Impulse! Records in July 1963. Music and recording Tracks 1 and 3 were recorded live at the Village Vanguard in November 1961, during the same residency that produced the seminal '' "Live" at the Village Vanguard'' album, while tracks 2 and 4 were recorded at Van Gelder Studio, respectively on September 18, 1962 and April 29, 1963.
