''After School'' is a 2003 Singaporean crime film directed by Zhu Houren. The film was commissioned by Singapore's National Crime Prevention Council. It is based on a true story. Plot Siao Han is a 16-year-old secondary 4 student whose parents abandoned him when he was young. Siao Han is getting ready for the end of school with his best friend, his girlfriend, Lily, and his girlfriend's best friend. In a shopping centre, they shoplift from various shops. Siao Han is caught and reported to the police, whose leading officer is his older sister. His best friend came to his rescue, but Shao Han's sister brings Shao Han to further investigations. Lily sees this and walks away in disappointment. At home, during dinner, Shao Han becomes angry with his sister for arresting him on her first day leading a team. Zhu Houren
Zhu Houren () is a Singaporean actor. Personal life Zhu was educated at Chung Cheng High School. In 2003, he made his directorial debut in the telefilm '' After School'', while taking on a role in the same film. During the Star Awards 2010 Star Awards 2010 (Chinese: 红星大奖 2010) was a double television award ceremony held in Singapore. Jacelyn Tay
Jacelyn Tay Siew Cheng (; born 12 June 1975) is a Singaporean former actress, health coach and businesswoman . She was crowned the female champion of the local Star Search Singapore competition in 1995 and was a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1995 to 2006. In 2004 and 2005 respectively, Tay published the books ''Feel Good Look Good with Jacelyn'' and ''Make-up for Asian Women''. She further pursued a career in the wellness industry in 2006 by setting up Body Inc. Holistic Wellness Centre. She is currently a health coach, nutrition consultant and a registered BFR practitioner. Personal life When she was 25, Tay declared bankruptcy after owing $300,000 to a stockbroking company. Hong Huifang (born Ang Hwee Fong on 7 January 1961) is a Singaporean actress. Career Hong joined the SBC during the mid-1980s after completing the 5th drama training course alongside Yang Libing and Chen Tianwen, at age 22. Gam Ngan Gei (born 17 June 1946), better known as Jin Yinji, is a Singaporean actress of South Korean descent. 15 (film)
''15'' is a 2003 Singaporean coming-of-age black comedy-drama film about teenage gangsters in the Singapore suburbs. Directed by Royston Tan, the film is an expanded version of Tan's 2002 award-winning short film, also titled '' 15''. It is one of the few Singaporean films to feature brief full-frontal male nudity, together with the Singaporean-Thai film ''Pleasure Factory'' and the Singaporean-Hong Kong film '' Bugis Street''. Plot The film stars three real-life juvenile gangsters, all aged 15, giving an accurate depiction of Chinese teenage gang-life in the Singapore suburbs. The 2003 film features two more gangsters as characters as well as a fight sequence with more affluent English-educated Singapore youths. Rather than scripting the movie or employing professional actors, Tan attempted to capture the troubled lives of his characters in realistic fashion, apparently without much prior scripting.
