Afghan F.C.
Afghan Football Club Chaman or simply Afghan F.C. is a Pakistani professional football club based in Chaman, Balochistan, a border city near Afghanistan. The club last competed in the Pakistan Premier League. In 2000, Afghan FC Chaman played in an invitation tour at Kandahar Stadium against a local team from Kandahar. During the third and final game of the tour, Taliban religious police burst into the ground and stopped the game in the middle. The Taliban arrested twelve of the Afghan Chaman's players and had their heads shaved as punishment for wearing shorts, including Muhammad Essa. Afghan Chaman are one of the founding members of the Pakistan Premier League. Afghan Chaman avoided relegation in the 2006–07 season, finishing in the ninth spot, 5 points above relegation zone. The Pakistan Premier League (PPL; ur, پاکستان پریمیئر لیگ) is a Pakistani professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Pakistan football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Football Federation League. Jadeed Khan
Jadid Khan Pathan (born 6 January 1989) is a Pakistani professional footballer, who plays for Sui Southern Gas as a midfielder. He has also played for Pakistan. He earned his first international cap during the 2008 SAFF Cup against the Maldives. Early life Khan was born in Chaman, Balochistan. He spent majority of his career playing for his hometown club Afghan Chaman, where he was the team captain from 2008 to 2011. Akhtar Mohiuddin (Urdu: ) (born 1 March 1956 in Chaman, Pakistan), is a Pakistani professional football coach and former player who was most recently the head coach of PMC Athletico. Mohiuddin was also the head coach of the Pakistan football team from 2007 to 2008. Managerial career When Salman Sharida quit as Pakistan manager in 2007, Mohiuddin was given the role 2 months before the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. Pakistan had to face Asian champions Iraq. Pakistan were defeated 7-0 in the first leg but they were able to hold Iraq to a nil-nil draw in the second leg. National Football Challenge Cup
The PFF National Challenge Cup is an annual semi-professional knockout football competition in men's domestic Pakistani football within the Pakistan football league system. It is organized by and named after the Pakistan Football Federation. Khan Research Laboratories have won the most titles (six). WAPDA are the current champions, winning the 2020 edition courtesy of a 1-0 win against SSGC F.C. in the final. The Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA; ur, ) is a government-owned public utility maintaining power and water in Pakistan, although it does not manage thermal power.
