Arnold Phillips (born 24 March 1988) better known by his stage name Aewon Wolf, is a South African rapper, singer, Director and songwriter born in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. He is also the co – founder of the Durban creative collective called The wolfpack. He is also the founder of The Werehouse a lifestyle centre and events venue in city of Durban that has contributed a lot to the development of the Durban creative scene. The 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards were held at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City Casino in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. This marked the ceremony's 4th anniversary. The nominees were announced on 30 October 2015. Riky Rick lead with 8 nominations, followed by AKA with 7 nominations. AKA won the "Most Valuable" award for the 4th time in a row, making him the only artist to ever win this award, and therefore currently holds the winning streak. AKA won the most awards: Best Collaboration, Most Valuable, Video of the Year and Best Digital Sales. Mnqobi Yazo (born; Mnqobi Lindokuhle Msimango) is a South African singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Maphumulo, KwaZulu-Natal, released his first project ''Iscephu'' in 2018. After he signed a record deal with Mabala Noise, his debut album ''Impi'' (2020), which incorporated elements of African trap, Afro-pop, and maskandi, was certified platinum in South Africa.
