Aerosur Cup
The Aerosur Cup was a Bolivian football tournament held in the La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, sponsored by Aerosur airline. The original idea was to make AeroSur Cup a tournament for the winning teams from previous seasons in the whole country of (Bolivia), this idea changed. Later on, the Cup became a tournament between the 6 best teams of the main cities: Wilstermann, Oriente Petrolero, Club Blooming, Blooming, The Strongest and Club Bolivar, Bolivar, and Club Aurora, Aurora. In 2008 the tournament was split in two competition:Copa Aerosur and Copa Aerosur del Sur. The AeroSur Cup from the south was created due to the requests from several South teams that are not taken into account in the Original Cup. 2007 Copa Aerosur & Del Sur
The 2007 Copa Aerosur, was an instance of the annual Bolivian football tournament held in La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, sponsored by the AeroSur airline. This event was the 4th such event. In this tournament teams from the 2nd and 3rd divisions participated. The winner team was given free tickets on Aerosur to play their games during the tournament (and for the remainder of 2007) and $10,000, the runners-up-up receiving $5,000. The runners-up won a 75% discount in airfares and the other participants accessed a 50% discount on tickets by agreeing to display the airline's logo on their uniforms. Club Deportivo Universitario San Francisco Xavier is a professional football team based in Sucre, Bolivia that competes in the Bolivian Primera División. 2010 Copa Aerosur & Del Sur
The Copa Aerosur & del Sur 2010 was the eighth edition of the summer soccer tournament sponsored by Aerosur. It involved six teams from the core cities in Bolivia: Bolivar and The Strongest of La Paz, Cochabamba Aurora and Wilstermann, Blooming and Oriente Petrolero of Santa Cruz, and six teams from 2009 Copa Simón Bolívar. The Copa Aerosur & del Sur 2010 had novelties involving six teams from Regional League who participated in Copa Simon Bolivar. If one of these teams won the Copa Aerosur they would receive $150,000 from Aerosur Company. For the LPFB teams the winner received a full free ticket for the whole year and $90,000 and the runner-up 75% discount; this also applied for Copa del Sur teams. 2009 Copa Aerosur & Del Sur
La Copa Aerosur 2009 is the seventh edition of the summer soccer tournament sponsored by Aerosur. Involved six teams of core cities in Bolivia: Bolivar and The Strongest of La Paz, Cochabamba Aurora and Wilstermann, Blooming and Oriente Petrolero of Santa Cruz. The tournament began on January 18, 2009 and culminate on February 4 of that year. The 2009 version of the cup had three novelties: defined by shootout in case of ties in all instances of the tournament, the implementation of a tournament U-18 parallel to the official tournament, and a recoil to be played between the champion Aerosur Cup, the champion of the Copa Aerosur del Sur and two foreign expos. Cup champion will have free passage on Aerosur to travel to play their games during the 2009 season of the Bolivian Professional Football League, while the runner will have a 75% discount.
