Aeroporto (Lisbon Metro)
Aeroporto is the terminal station on the Red Line of the Lisbon Metro. The station was built to serve Lisbon Airport. The station, designed by the architect Leopoldo de Almeida Rosa, opened on July 17, 2012 in conjunction with the Encarnação and Moscavide stations, as part of the expansion of the line to serve Lisbon Portela Airport. Metropolitano S.A. was a privately owned consortium formed in 1994 to take over concessions granted by the Argentine government as part of railway privatisation during the presidency of Carlos Menem for the operation of commuter rail services in the Buenos Aires Province. Cais Do Sodré (Lisbon Metro)
Cais do Sodré is a station on the Green Line of the Lisbon Metro. It is located in the Praça Duque da Terceira, connecting to the Cais do Sodré railway station and with a boat station (allowing for quick travel between Lisbon and Cacilhas, Seixal and Montijo. History This metro station was built by Pedro Botelho and Nuno Teotónio Pereira and the art work was done by António Dacosta, which left some of his drawings to be used in the station after his death, with some help from the painter Pedro Morais. Campo Grande (Lisbon Metro)
Campo Grande is an elevated interchange station on the Yellow and Green Lines of the Lisbon Metro. It has a large bus terminal at ground level and is located on Rua Cipriano Dourado just north of Avenida General Norton de Matos in the Lisbon parish of Alvalade, in the neighbourhood of Campo Grande. Location The station adjoins Estádio José Alvalade home of Sporting Clube de Portugal. Nearby destinations include Pimenta Palace, Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro Museum, Universidade Lusófona and northern access to the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon. History The station opened on 1 April 1993. The architectural design is by Ezequiel Nicolau with murals and art installations by Eduardo Nery. Jardim Zoológico station is part of the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro. History It is one of the 11 stations that belong to the original Lisbon Metro network, opened on 29 December 1959. This station is located on Praça General Humberto Delgado, connecting to the Sete Rios Railway Station (Sintra and Azambuja Lines) and the Sete Rios Bus terminal. It takes its name from the nearby Lisbon Zoo. The architectural design of the original station is by Falcão e Cunha. Oriente is a station on the Red Line of the Lisbon Metro. The station is located in Lisbon, between the Cabo Ruivo and Moscavide stations. The station is a part of the Gare do Oriente, one of the main transport hubs of the city, serving the North, Sintra, and Azambuja Lines and also several bus lines. History The station opened on 19 May 1998 in conjunction with the Alameda, Olaias, Bela Vista and Chelas stations, with the original construction of the Red Line, connection central Lisbon to the new zone occupied by the EXPO'98. The architectural project was made by Sanchez Jorge and the art work by Antonio Seguí, Arthur Boyd, Erró, Hundertwasser, Yayoi Kusama, Joaquim Rodrigo, Abdoulaye Konaté, Sean Scully, Raza, Zao Wou-Ki and Magdalena Abakanowicz.
