Aero Dili
Aero Dili is an airline based in East Timor. It has its hub at the Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport in Dili, and uses a fleet of three aircraft to operate both domestic and international services. History Aero Dili was founded on 3 July 2017 by Lourenço de Oliveira, a native of Atauro. De Oliveira has a background in maritime transport; he has since been the owner of Dili's two casinos, and has made investments in other industries, including aquaculture and agriculture. Before deciding to invest in East Timor's aviation industry, an initiative he later described as "... a dream come true," the founder had also studied aviation processes in other countries for twenty years. Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport
Dili Airport , officially Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport ( pt, Aeroporto Internacional Presidente Nicolau Lobato, ), and formerly Comoro Airport ( id, Bandar Udara Komoro), is an international airport serving Dili, the capital city of East Timor. Since 2002, the airport has been named after Nicolau dos Reis Lobato (1946–1978), an East Timorese politician and national hero. Location The airport is located in the '' suco'' of , which is part of the Dom Aleixo administrative post, in the western suburbs of Dili. Liquiçá Municipality
Liquiçá (, ) is one of the municipalities (formerly districts) of East Timor. Its capital is also called Liquiçá. Etymology The English language name of the municipality has been said to be a Portuguese approximation of the old name ''Liku Saen'', which means 'python' in the local Tokodede language, or the corresponding portmanteau ''Likusaen''. Another theory points to the Tokodede expression ''Likis Aá'', meaning 'motion' or 'change', referring to an incident during the founding of the city of Vila de Liquiçá. After the Portuguese had chosen the settlement site, people started clearing the forest there and turning it into an open space. The Portuguese then asked the local people to tell them the name of the area. The local people did not understand the question, and so the Portuguese tried to communicate with gestures by moving their hands back and forth. José Ramos-Horta
José Manuel Ramos-Horta (; born 26 December 1949) is an East Timorese politician currently serving as president of East Timor since May 2022. He previously served as president from 20 May 2007 to 20 May 2012. Previously he was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2002 to 2006 and Prime Minister from 2006 to 2007. He is a co-recipient of the 1996 Nobel Peace Prize, along with Carlos Filipe Ximenes Belo, for working "towards a just and peaceful solution to the conflict in East Timor". As a founder and former member of Fretilin, Ramos-Horta served as the exiled spokesman for the East Timorese resistance during the years of the Indonesian occupation of East Timor (1975–1999). El Tari Airport
El Tari International Airport ( id, Bandar Udara Internasional El Tari) is an airport in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The airport is named after El Tari (1926–1978), the governor of East Nusa Tenggara from 1966 to 1978. The airport's ICAO code was changed from WRKK to WATT in 2004. As of December 2018, there were at least 258 outbound flights per week from the airport. Development The airport is currently undergoing an expansion program. The Cessna 205, 206, and 207, known primarily as the Stationair (and marketed variously as the Super Skywagon, Skywagon and Super Skylane) are a family of single-engined, general aviation aircraft with fixed landing gear, used in commercial air service as well as for personal use.
