Advice From A Caterpillar
''Advice from a Caterpillar'' is a 1999 independent drama film directed by Don Scardino and adapted by Douglas Carter Beane from his play of the same name. The title is derived from chapter five of the classic children's novel ''Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'', by Lewis Carroll. Premise Nixon plays a video artist with an aversion to commitment. She nonetheless falls for a bisexual actor (Olyphant) who is involved with her best friend (Dick). Don Scardino
Donald Joseph Scardino (born February 17, 1949) is an American television director and producer and a former actor. Career Acting Scardino was born in New York City, to jazz musician parents, Dorothy Denny Scardino and Charles Scardino. His first Broadway credit was as an understudy in ''The Playroom'' in 1965. Additional Broadway acting credits include ''Johnny No-Trump'', ''Godspell'', and ''King of Hearts''. Off-Broadway he appeared in ''The Rimers of Eldritch'', ''The Comedy of Errors'', ''Moonchildren'', and '' I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It on the Road'', he was also the lead in a B horror movie titled ''Squirm'' in 1976. Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (born June 13, 1962) is an American actress. Following her film debut in 1983's '' Bad Boys'', she became known as one of the Brat Pack group of actors and starred in ''WarGames'' (1983), ''The Breakfast Club'' (1985) and ''Short Circuit'' (1986).
