Adventist International Mission School
Adventist International Mission School (, ) (informally known as "AIMS") is an international school in Muak Lek District, Saraburi Province, Thailand. It is part of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist education system and also serves as a laboratory school for the affiliated tertiary educational institution Asia-Pacific International University, although the two institutions are run by separate administrations. Initially established to cater to children of university faculty and workers, it is now open to the community for students in the vicinity desiring an English-medium education. History In 2018 Mrs. Canaday established the English Elementary School to cater to the children of expatriate faculty at the then Mission College. Muak Lek District
Muak Lek ( th, มวกเหล็ก, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Saraburi province, Thailand. It occupies the province's easternmost part, in the Dong Phaya Yen Mountains which divide the central and northeastern regions. Originally a formidable jungle, much of the forest cover was cleared in the 20th century, though several forested hills remain, with natural features serving as tourist destinations—parts of Khao Yai and Namtok Chet Sao Noi national parks are within the district area. Dairy farming is an important industry in the district, having been introduced to the country here in 1962. Griggs University
Griggs International Academy is an accredited Seventh-day Adventist distance learning school, offering courses from preschool to 12th grade. History Founded in 1909 as "The Fireside Correspondence School" and later known as the "Home Study Institute", the school began offering education to those who could not attend traditional schools. Classes were offered from the Seventh-Day Adventist Church headquarters in Washington, D.C., which moved to Silver Spring, Maryland, in the early 20th century. After that, the name was changed to "Home Study International". In July 2011, the school moved to the campus of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
