Adrián Vallés
Adrián Vallés Escortell (born 3 June 1986) is a Spanish race car driver. Career Vallés was born in Teulada, Alicante. After a strong karting career, he drove in Spanish Formula Three, before moving to the World Series by Nissan in 2004. The series was renamed World Series by Renault in 2005 while he continued in the series, finishing 2nd in the standings with two race wins. In 2006 he started racing in the GP2 Series with Campos Racing, and also tested for the MF1 Racing Formula One team on 19 September. The team was bought out by Spyker and on 30 January 2007 Vallés was named the team's official reserve driver. He returned to GP2 for 2008, driving for the FMS International team in the GP2 Asia Series. He remained with the team for the first round of the 2008 GP2 Series season, but then switched to BCN Competicion. Teulada, Spain
Teulada (, ) is a small coastal town on Spain's Costa Blanca, located 3 km north from Junction 63 of the A7 E-15 toll motorway on the N-332 coast road. Taupo International Motorsport Park and Events Centre (previously known as the Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park) is a motorsports circuit located in Broadlands Road, Taupo, New Zealand. It is owned by Tony Quinn who also owns Highlands Motorsport Park and Hampton Downs Motorsport Park. The circuit was an upgrade from a Taupo Car Club's circuit to the new international layout in 2006. The Motorsport Park was completed in 2006 at the cost of NZ$13 million. 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix Season
The 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix season was the fourth and final season of the A1 Grand Prix formula. Ferrari supplied the engines for all entrants and advised on aspects of the chassis, based on its championship-winning F2004. A1 Team Ireland became the fourth A1GP champions, after a title battle which went down to the final round in Great Britain. Ireland won with 112 points, with team driver Adam Carroll taking five victories at Chengdu, Sepang, Taupo and the series finale at Brands Hatch during the shortened 14 race season. Three rounds were cancelled for various reasons. The following season was cancelled. A1 Team Switzerland finished the season in second place with 95 points and four wins by its driver Neel Jani. A1 Team New Zealand is the New Zealand team of A1 Grand Prix, an international racing series. Management The team was formed by and is owned by prominent Auckland businessman Colin Giltrap, well known for this car dealerships. The team is managed by Kiwi Bob McMurray who retired last year after nearly 30 years involvement with the McLaren Formula One racing team. Chris Van Der Drift
Christopher Jason van der Drift (born 8 March 1986) is a New Zealand racing driver of Dutch descent. Career Van der Drift started karting at the age of 7 and in 1994 he raced his first year in cadets. From there he went on to win 6 New Zealand Championships and 6 North Island Championships until 2002. After ten years of kart racing in New Zealand and also competing in Australia for two years in 2001 JICA and 2002 Ford Kart Stars (finishing both championships in 6th), he had to take the step into racing cars. At the time he had no sponsors so it was difficult just to step into a car as his parents didn't have enough to fund that as well. Ocean Racing Technology (ORT) was a racing team that took part in both the GP2 Main Series and the GP2 Asia Series Championships. The team, owned by Tiago Monteiro and José Guedes, was formed at the end of the 2008 season after being purchased from BCN, a team which never enjoyed much success in GP2 (two podiums in four years). The Spyker F1 Team, known as the Etihad Aldar Spyker F1 Team for sponsorship reasons, was a Formula One team that competed in the 2007 Formula One World Championship with a Dutch licence. It was created by Spyker Cars after their buyout of the short-lived Midland F1 (formerly Jordan Grand Prix) team. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. In 1998 the team began by competing in the new Open Fortuna by Nissan, with Marc Gené and Antonio García as drivers. Gené won the championship and García finished fifth, with Campos taking the teams title. Gené stepped up to Formula One in , and his place in the team was taken by karting driver Fernando Alonso.
