Adriano Facchini (born 12 March 1983) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Portuguese club U.D. Vilafranquense as a goalkeeper. Club career Facchini was born in Xaxim, Santa Catarina. After playing youth football with Santos FC, he competed exclusively in his country's lower leagues. In 2009, aged 26, he moved to Portugal and signed for C.F. União, spending two years in the third division. Xaxim
Xaxim is a municipality in the state of Santa Catarina in Brazil. Located at latitude 26º57'42 "south and longitude 52º32'05" West, with an altitude of 770 meters. Its estimated population in 2020 was of 28,983 inhabitants. Name origin Over time, many names preceded this toponym: Chachi (demographic occupation was the kaigangs Indians who lived on the extraction plant), Bands of Xaxim, pitch Xaxim, Xaxim Pouso (the occupation era of mestizos who lived tropeirismo, extraction, agriculture and livestock for subsistence). The Taça de Portugal (; "Cup of Portugal") is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Placard since the 2015–16 season. Organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since it was first held in 1938, the competition is open to professional and amateur clubs from the top-four league divisions.
