Adrian Poynton
Adrian Poynton (born 29 January 1979) is a British screenwriter, playwright, producer and former stand up comedian. He is best known as the creator and writer of BBC Three comedy ''White Van Man'' and its American remake ''Family Tools''. He has written projects for BBC, ITV, Sky, ABC and CBS and is often used as a Script doctor. Biography Born in Staffordshire in 1979, Poynton attended John Taylor High School at Barton-under-Needwood in Staffordshire in the early 1990s. He first began performing as a member of the Lichfield Youth Theatre. For many years he toured as a stand up comedian regularly performing in comedy clubs and theaters across the UK and Europe. He was also one of the UK's most popular TV studio audience warm-ups. John Taylor High School
John Taylor High School is a specialist science and leadership Academy (English school), academy located in the East Staffordshire village of Barton-under-Needwood, near Burton-on-Trent. Founded in 1957, the school was named in the honour of John Taylor (1480-1534), John Taylor, who grew up in the village. History On 25 February 1955, Staffordshire County Council issued a notice proposing the establishment of a new Secondary Modern in Barton-under-Needwood. The school was initially to cater for a maximum of 600 pupils between the ages of 11 to 15 from Barton itself and the nearby districts of Branston, Staffordshire, Branston, Tatenhill, Yoxall, Edingale, Alrewas and Walton-on-Trent, Walton. Sky 1
Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group (a division of Comcast). Originally launched on 26 April 1982 as Satellite Television, it was Europe's first satellite and non-terrestrial channel. The Soho Theatre is a theatre and registered charity in the Soho district of the City of Westminster, in London, England. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe (also referred to as The Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, or Edinburgh Fringe Festival) is the world's largest arts and media festival, which in 2019 spanned 25 days and featured more than 59,600 performances of 3,841 different shows in 322 venues. Graham Chapman
Graham Chapman (8 January 1941 – 4 October 1989) was a British actor, comedian and writer. He was one of the six members of the surreal comedy group Monty Python. He portrayed authority figures such as The Colonel and the lead role in two Python films, ''Holy Grail'' (1975) and ''Life of Brian'' (1979). Chapman was born in Leicester and was raised in Melton Mowbray. He enjoyed science, acting and comedy and, after graduating from Emmanuel College, Cambridge and St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, he turned down a career as a doctor to be a comedian instead. Chapman eventually established a writing partnership with John Cleese, which reached its critical peak with Monty Python during the 1970s.
