Adrian Gleeson
Adrian Gleeson (born 30 April 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Gleeson, who played as a rover, finished eighth in the 1988 Brownlow Medal count, in his third season of league football. Wearing the number 12 guernsey, Gleeson debuted for the Blues in round seven of 1986 in the 40-point victory over Collingwood in what was the last game between these two fierce rivals played at Victoria Park. He was recruited from the Koroit Football Club in the Hampden Football League and was a member of Carlton's 1987 premiership team Gleeson played 176 games and kicked 174 goals between 1986 and 1996. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. David Parkin
David Alex Parkin, OAM (born 12 September 1942) is a former Australian rules footballer and coach who played for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and for the Subiaco Football Club in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL). However, Parkin's stature in the history of Australian rules football is based mainly on his achievements as a coach. Building on his experience as a player and educator, Parkin won four premierships (one at Hawthorn, three at Carlton) and is considered one of the most influential coaches of the modern era.
