Dai Jones
David John Jones (18 October 1943 – 4 March 2022), known as Dai Jones Llanilar, was a Welsh language television presenter, singer and radio broadcaster. Early life David John Jones was born in Holloway, London, Middlesex, to a family of Welsh farmers. He moved to Wales at the age of three and was brought up by his uncle and aunt on their dairy farm in Brynchwith, Llangwyryfon. He went to school at Llangwyryfon and Ysgol Dinas, Aberystwyth and started working on the farm at 15 years old. Jones said that he deliberately failed his 11-plus exam to avoid going to grammar school because he had heard that there was a lot of homework. At a young age, Jones was an active member of the chapel, and also the Eisteddfod and Young Farmers clubs which gave him an upbringing in Welsh culture and traditions. Barry Cennydd Morgan Order of Saint John (chartered 1888), KStJ (born 31 January 1947) is a Welsh from Neath, Wales who, from 2003 to Jan 2017, was Archbishop of Wales. Manon Steffan Ros
Manon Steffan Ros (born 19 January 1983) is a Welsh novelist, playwright, games author, scriptwriter and musician (being one half of the acoustic duo 'Blodau Gwylltion'). She is the author of over twenty children's books and three novels for adults, all in Welsh. Her award-winning novel ''Blasu'' has been translated (by the author) into English, under the title of ''The Seasoning''. Robat Arwyn
Robat Arwyn (born November 1959) is a musical composer from Ruthin, North Wales, best known for his many Welsh-language songs. His notable compositions include the songs "Anfonaf Angel" and "Benedictus". Arwyn was born in Talysarn, in the Nantlle valley, under the name Robert Arwyn Jones, and studied Music at Cardiff University before qualifying as a librarian at College of Librarianship in Wales at Aberystwyth. He went on to be chief librarian at Denbighshire Libraries for 20 years. Carwyn Jones
Carwyn Howell Jones (born 21 March 1967) is a Welsh politician who served as First Minister of Wales and Leader of Welsh Labour from 2009 to 2018. Elin Manahan Thomas (born 1977) is a Welsh soprano. A specialist in Baroque music, she sang at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May 2018. Elinor Bennett, Baroness Wigley, OBE (born 17 April 1943) is a Welsh harpist who has an international reputation as a soloist, master instructor, and founded the Harp College of Wales.
