Adolf Schinnerer (15 September 1876 in Schwarzenbach an der Saale – 30 January 1949 in Ottershausen, part of Haimhausen in Oberbayern) was a German artist, active in painting, drawing and graphic design. Schwarzenbach An Der Saale
Schwarzenbach an der Saale is a town in the district of Hof, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the river Saale, 11 km south of Hof. Within the town is the Gedenkstätte Langer Gang, a memorial to the Nazi victims of the Helmbrechts concentration camp, which was near Schwarzenbach an der Saale, and particularly of the victims of the death march from Helmbrechts concentration camp to Volary. Haimhausen
Haimhausen is a municipality located on the Amper River in the district of Dachau in Bavaria, Germany, about 20 Kilometers north of Munich. Geography Haimhausen borders directly on a marshy area called the Dachauer Moos. The landscape around Haimhausen has springs, oxbow lakes, mossy fields, forests, bogs, swamps, and wild grass meadows. Some of the natural areas are still ecologically valuable and are home to rare plants and animals. The Academy of Fine Arts, Munich (german: Akademie der Bildenden Künste München, also known as Munich Academy) is one of the oldest and most significant art academies in Germany. Karl Gatermann The Younger
Karl Gatermann (June 17, 1909 – April 3, 1992), typically referred to in art circles as Karl Gatermann the Younger, was a German painter, graphic artist, and set designer. He was the nephew of his namesake, Karl Gatermann, also an artist. Life Gatermann trained as a decorator while working for his father in Zerbst. He attended art school at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Dessau with Wilhelm Danz in 1926, and from 1927 studied at Bauhaus Dessau with Walter Gropius, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee and Lyonel Feininger. In 1928 he received a journeyman's certificate and he passed his Master's examination in 1933. Paying for his studies required occasionally working in the painting class of the Berufsschule in Zerbst. From 1935 until the beginning of World War II, he studied in Munich at the Academy of Fine Arts.
