Adnan Al Kakoun
Adnan Al Kakoun ( ar, عدنان القاقون; born 1967) is a Lebanese journalist and businessman. As of 2019, he has over two decades of experience in politics. Early years Adnan was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1967. Career Adnan began his career in Al Anwar then moved to Al-Anbaa until 1996-1997, before he moved to Al-Qabas for around 20 Years. He also worked in Al-Jarida for a short period of time. Lebanese Nationality Law
Lebanese nationality law governs the acquisition, transmission and loss of Lebanese citizenship. Lebanese citizenship is the status of being a citizen of Lebanon and it can be obtained by birth or naturalisation. Lebanese nationality is transmitted by paternity (father) (see Jus sanguinis). Therefore, a Lebanese man who holds Lebanese citizenship can automatically confer citizenship to his children and foreign wife (only if entered in the Civil Acts Register in the Republic of Lebanon). Under the current law, descendants of Lebanese emigrants can only receive citizenship from their father and women cannot pass on citizenship to their children or foreign spouses. On 12 November 2015, the Parliament of Lebanon approved a draft law that would allow "foreigners of Lebanese origin to get citizenship." ''Al Anwar'' ( ar, الانوار, lit=The Lights) was an Arabic daily newspaper published in Beirut, Lebanon. It was founded in 1959 and was one of the leading dailies in Lebanon. In October 2018, the publisher Dar Assayad announced ceasing of the print edition of the publication after 58 years of continuous publishing. Al Anbaa' () or alternatively ''Al Anba'' is an Arabic-language Kuwaiti daily newspaper. The paper is owned and published by Bab Al-Kuwait Press Co. History and profile The paper was launched on 5 January 1976. It is the continuation of ''Akhbar Al Kuwait'' which was published from 1962 to 1975. Murr Television
Murr Television, marketed and known as MTV Lebanon, is a Lebanese television station based in Naccache, Metn District. History Founded in 1991 by Gabriel Murr, a Lebanese businessman and politician. MTV was shut down in 2002 as it was found guilty of violating article 68 of the electoral law of 1999 which bans propaganda during the election process but, since other Lebanese channels did not comply with the law either, some observers suspect that the closure was due to MTV’s criticism of the Lebanese government and of Syria.
