Admissions (film)
''Admissions'' is a 2011 American short film written by John Viscount and directed by Harry Kakatsakis. The film received funds from a successful Kickstarter campaign. The plot of the film revolves around an Israelis, Israeli couple and a Palestinian Arabs, Palestinian man who go through admissions together because they have suffered similar tragic endings. The three are placed in an admissions room for the afterlife and must plead their case before the clerk (James Cromwell). James Cromwell
James Oliver Cromwell (born January 27, 1940) is an American actor and activist. Some of his best-known films include ''Babe'' (1995), '' Star Trek: First Contact'' (1996), ''L.A. Confidential'' (1997), '' The Green Mile'' (1999), ''The Queen'' (2006), ''Secretariat'' (2010), '' The Artist'' (2011), and '' Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom'' (2018). Cromwell is also well known for his performances in television including HBO’s acclaimed ''Angels in America'' (2003), '' Six Feet Under'' (2003–2005), '' American Horror Story: Asylum'' (2012–2013), '' Succession'' (2018–present), and '' Counterpart'' (2018–2019). Garden State Film Festival
The Garden State Film Festival is a film festival in the United States held in Asbury Park, New Jersey which debuts more than 200 independent films annually over four days each spring. The festival was founded in 2002 in Sea Girt, New Jersey by Diane Raver and Hollywood actor Robert Pastorelli. Pastorelli and Raver mounted the first festival in 2003. As of 2021, the Executive Director is Lauren Concar Sheehy. The festival pays tribute to Jersey’s legacy as the birthplace of the American filmmaking in Thomas Edison’s Menlo Park laboratories, to Fort Lee, where the studios were founded, and participants frequently include a New Jersey tie. The festival is one of Asbury Park's major cultural and economic forces. In 2021, the festival began including screenings at the century-old Cranford movie theater in Cranford, New Jersey. Woods Hole Film Festival
The Woods Hole Film Festival was founded in 1991 by Judith Laster and Kate Davis. Since its foundation, the festival has grown from a one-day invitational event to an eight-day event with films submitted from around the world. Cleveland International Film Festival
The Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) is an annual film festival based in Cleveland, Ohio. It is the largest film festival in Ohio. It was first held in 1977, showing eight films over a period of eight weeks at the Cedar Lee Theatre. It has since grown and in 2019 consisted of 213 feature films and 237 short films from 71 countries, and over 105,000 in attendance. 2022 will mark the 46th year for the CIFF.
