Admiralty (East) Public Transport Interchange
The Admiralty (East) Public Transport Interchange () is a major bus terminus located in Admiralty, Central and Western District, Hong Kong. Located above Admiralty Station of the MTR, the terminus hosts bus routes to most destinations in the Southern District west of Deep Water Bay, so the usage is relatively high. The interchange has different names named by different bus companies. The official name from the Government is Admiralty (East) Public Transport Interchange; Citybus and New World First Bus named it as the Admiralty (East) Bus Terminus (); while the name from Kowloon Motor Bus is Admiralty Railway Station (East) Bus Terminus (). New World First Bus Services Limited (NWFB) is the third-largest bus operator in Hong Kong. Established by NWS Holdings and FirstGroup in September 1998, it took over 88 China Motor Bus services in Hong Kong Island. Since 2020 it has been a subsidiary of Bravo Transport which also owns Citybus. The NWFB brand will be retired on 30 June 2023 with operations merged into Citybus. Deep Water Bay is a bay and residential area on the southern shore of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. The bay is surrounded by Shouson Hill, Brick Hill, Violet Hill and Middle Island. Queensway (Hong Kong)
Queensway is a major road in the Admiralty area of Central, Hong Kong. It was originally a section of Queen's Road East and forms part of the continuum of Queen's Road that had been split into Queen's Road West, Queen's Road Central, Queensway, and Queen's Road East after World War II. At its western end it splits into Queen's Road Central and Des Voeux Road Central while at its eastern end it merges into Hennessy Road, at the junction with Queen's Road East. Name Queensway was formally separated and given its own name when the extensive military and naval sites that dominated this area were redeveloped around the 1960s. Its Chinese name can be translated as ''Golden Bell Road'', a reference to a notable bell once located in the adjacent Admiralty Dock, and does not include 'Queen'.
