Adliswil is a railway station in the Sihl Valley, and the municipality of Adliswil, in the Switzerland, Swiss Canton of Zürich. The station is on the Sihltal railway line, Sihltal line, which is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU). The station is served by the following passenger trains: The station is some walk from the lower terminus of the Adliswil-Felsenegg cable car, which provides a link to the Felsenegg, Felsenegg hill and the Albis, Albis ridge. Adliswil
Adliswil is a town and a municipality in the district of Horgen in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. The official language of Adliswil is (the Swiss variety of Standard) German, but the main spoken language is the local variant of the Alemannic Swiss German dialect. History Adliswil is first mentioned in 1050 as ''Adelenswile''. In the second half of the 12th Century it was mentioned as ''Adololdiswile'' and in 1248 as ''Adeloswile''. Under the Helvetic Republic, the hamlet of Buchenegg was transferred to the municipality of Stallikon. In 1893 the town sections of Oberleimbach and Sood were added to Adliswil. Uetliberg Railway Station
Uetliberg is a railway station in Switzerland, situated near to the summit of the Uetliberg mountain. The station is the terminus of the Uetliberg railway line, Uetliberg line, which is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU). It is located within the municipality of Stallikon, although the adjacent mountain-top is divided between Stallikon and the city of Zürich. The station dates back to 1875, when the ''Uetlibergbahn-Gesellschaft'' opened its line from Zürich Selnau railway station, Bahnhof Selnau in Zürich to the summit of the Uetliberg mountain. The line was electrified using the direct current system in 1923. Albis
The Albis is a chain of hills in the Canton of Zürich, Switzerland, stretching for some 19 km from Sihlbrugg in the south to Waldegg near Zürich in the north. The chain forms, among others, the border between the Affoltern and Horgen districts. The best known point is Uetliberg at 870 m, overlooking the city of Zürich. Adliswil-Felsenegg Cable Car
The Adliswil-Felsenegg cable car (LAF; german: Luftseilbahn Adliswil-Felsenegg or ) is a cable car in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. The lower station is located in Adliswil in the Sihl Valley, whilst the upper station is located on the Felsenegg hill on the Albis ridge near the Felsenegg-Girstel TV-tower. Sihlwald Railway Station
Sihlwald is a railway station in the Sihl Valley, and the municipality of Horgen, in the Swiss Canton of Zürich. The station is on the Sihltal line, which is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU). The station takes its name from the surrounding Sihlwald forest and nature reserve, whose visitor centre is adjacent to the station. Sihlwald was the original terminus of the Sihtal line, which was opened from Bahnhof Selnau in Zürich in 1892.
