Adis Ahmetovic
Adis Ahmetovic ( bs, Ahmetović, ; born 27 July 1993) is a German politician of Bosnian people, Bosnian descent. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany and a Member of the Bundestag. Biography Ahmetovic's parents are from Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the Yugoslav Wars, they fled to Hannover in 1992, where Adis Ahmetovic was born in 1993. His father Fuad, who had previously worked as an administrative lawyer in Kotor Varoš, became a construction worker in Germany and later a warehouse clerk, his mother Edina worked as a cleaner. At the age of 22, Ahmetovic became a German citizenship, German citizen and gave up his Bosnian passport. In addition to German language, German, he also speaks the Bosnian language. Adis Bećiragić ( Turkish: Aziz Bekir; born 18 June 1970) is a Bosnian-Turkish professional basketball coach and former player. He was a backbone player on the Bosnian national basketball team in the 1990s. Bećiragić ended his playing career in 2000, and has worked as a basketball coach since 2011. He was head coach of Torku Konyaspor between 2013 and 2016, and was head coach for Uşak Sportif Uşak Sportif, also known as Uşak Üniversitesi Belediyespor, was a professional basketball team that is based in the city of Uşak, in Turkey. Adis Jahović ( mk, Адис Јаховиќ, born 18 March 1987) is a Macedonian footballer who plays as a forward for Turkish club Bodrumspor. Club career Jahović began playing football at the age of 7 with FK Makedonija Gjorče Petrov., and left to Bosnia at the age of 18. Jahović was banned for ten games for making an extremely threatening remark towards the referee of the match against Biel-Bienne. On 29 August 2014 he made a transfer to FC Krylia Sovetov Samara. With Krylia, he won the 2014–15 Russian National Football League and got promotion to the 2015–16 Russian Premier League. On 31 August 2016, he joined Turkish Süper Lig club Göztepe S.K. Adis Nurković ( sq, Nurkoviq; born 28 April 1986) is a Bosnian-born naturalized Kosovan professional football coach and former player who is the current goalkeeping coach of First League of FBiH club Čelik Zenica. Club career Flamurtari Vlorë Nurković was born to a Bosnian Muslim family in the Bosnian town of Velika Kladuša on 28 April 1986. Adis Obad
Adis Obad (born 12 May 1971) is a Bosnian professional football manager and former player. Club career Obad was born in Mostar, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia and began his football career with local side FK Velež Mostar. He also played for FK Blagaj and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the German 2. Bundesliga, scoring 23 goals in 108 league matches. The club battled relegation in his final season and he moved back to Bosnia. In 2003 after coming back from Germany, Obad played for FK Željezničar Sarajevo, before coming back to Velež in 2004. Battle Of Adis
The battle of Adys (or Adis) took place in late 255 BC during the First Punic War between a Carthaginian army jointly commanded by Bostar, Hamilcar and Hasdrubal and a Roman army led by Marcus Atilius Regulus. Earlier in the year, the new Roman navy had established naval superiority and used this advantage to invade the Carthaginian homeland, which roughly aligned with modern Tunisia in North Africa. After landing on the Cape Bon Peninsula and conducting a successful campaign, the fleet returned to Sicily, leaving Regulus with 15,500 men to hold the lodgement in Africa over the winter. Instead of holding his position, Regulus advanced towards the Carthaginian capital, Carthage. The Carthaginian army established itself on a rocky hill near Adys (modern Uthina) where Regulus was besieging the town.
