Yoruba (, ; Yor. '; Ajami script, Ajami: ) is a language spoken in West Africa, primarily in South West (Nigeria), Southwestern Middle Belt, and Central Nigeria. It is spoken by the Ethnic group, ethnic Yoruba people. The number of Yoruba speakers is roughly 50 million, plus about 2 million second-language speakers. As a pluricentric language, it is primarily spoken in a dialectal area spanning Nigeria and Benin with smaller migrated communities in Côte d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone and The Gambia. Aminat Adeniyi
Aminat Oluwafunmilayo Adeniyi (born 21 April 1993) is a Nigerian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the women's freestyle 58 kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a gold medal. She has been the National Champion in Wrestling in Nigeria since 2009 till date, a feat that has never been achieved by anyone in Nigeria. In 2010, she competed in Junior African Championship in Egypt, where she won a gold medal. She further continued her quest for glory when she competed in Senior African Wrestling Championship in Morocco in 2012, where she was a silver medalist. In 2013, Aminat Adeniyi was also a Nigerian sportswoman representative to the Commonwealth Championship in South Africa, where she won a silver medal. Olasunkanmi "Ola" Adeniyi (born September 12, 1997) is a Nigerian gridiron football outside linebacker who is a free agent. He played college football at Toledo. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2018. Early years When Adeniyi was six years old, his mother, Esther, moved to the United States in order set up a better life for Adeniyi's family. The Rev. Dr. Solomon Adeniyi Babalola (April 20, 1929 – November 3, 2021) was a Nigerian Baptist pastor who lived and served in Nigeria, Ghana, Canada, and the United States. Born in Oke-Ila, Nigeria, he graduated from his initial pastoral training in December 1949 from the three-year theology course (Certificate of Theology) of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomosho.
