''Add Insult to Injury'' is the fourth studio album by British electronic musicians Add N to (X). It was released on 16 October 2000 by Mute Records. The album is essentially two mini-albums fused together, as half was written and performed by Ann Shenton and Steve Claydon, while the other half was written and performed by Barry 7, with occasional help from Dean Honer from The All Seeing I. Early prints of the album came with 'scratch and sniff' panels (it smelt of grass), and stickers. Add N To (X)
Add N to (X) were an English electronic music band formed in London in 1994. The original members were Andrew Aveling, Barry Smith (aka Barry 7) and Ann Shenton. Steven Claydon replaced Aveling in 1997. After several releases on small labels, they signed to the independent label Mute Records in 1998, and achieved modest commercial success before splitting in 2003. Several of their songs and music videos are adult/sex-related: the video for "Metal Fingers in My Body" is an animated short featuring a woman having sex with a robot, and their video for "Plug Me In" features porn actresses playing with sex toys. Biography In 1994, Andrew Aveling met Justin Anderson from Freaky Realistic, and together they started a band named Radix Couplment. ''Avant Hard'' is the third studio album by English electronic music band Add N to (X). It was released in 1999 on Mute Records. The track "Metal Fingers in My Body" was used in an advertisement for a digital television service in the UK, played as the background music for skateboarder Danny Way for a montage of tricks. "Barry 7's Contraption" was used as the background music for a telecoms advert for Orange UK directed by Chris Cunningham, and was used regularly as backing music on the TV series '' Banzai''. I Monster are an English electronic music duo, composed of the Sheffield based record producers Dean Honer and Jarrod Gosling. I Monster and its label Twins of Evil are both named after horror films starring Peter Cushing (i.e., ''I, Monster'' and ''Twins of Evil''). History Formation and ''These Are Our Children'' I Monster formed in 1997 and released their debut album ''These Are Our Children'' in 1998. However, due to Honer being involved with hitmakers All Seeing I, it was not until 2001 that they released their first single, "Daydream in Blue", a remix of The Gunter Kallmann Choir's version of The Wallace Collection's "Daydream". The All Seeing I
The All Seeing I were a British electronic music group from Sheffield, England, comprising Dean Honer, Jason Buckle and DJ Parrot (real name Richard Barratt). Biography The band released their first single "I Walk" in 1997, but it was not until the year after that they gained mainstream commercial success with the song " Beat Goes On", a remixed cover of the Sonny Bono song, using the vocals from Buddy Rich's version, which were sung by his daughter Cathy. Their works were something of a Sheffield collective, and the trio worked with artists from the city including Tony Christie, Jarvis Cocker, Philip Oakey, Babybird and many others. Their regular live vocalist was Bozz, who later went on to form electronica duo Hiem.
