Adamos Adamou (born 30 October 1950, in Limassol) is a Cypriot politician and former Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Progressive Party of Working People, sitting with the European United Left–Nordic Green Left group from 2004 to 2009. He sat on the European Parliament's Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. He did not stand for reelection in the 2009 European elections. Ivi Adamou ( el, Ήβη Αδάμου, ; born 24 November 1993) is a Greek-Cypriot singer. She was born and raised in Agia Napa, Cyprus and currently resides in Alexandroupoli, Greece. Adamou rose to recognition in Greece and Cyprus following her participation in the second season of the Greek version of ''The X Factor'', where she was under the mentorship of Giorgos Theofanous. Nabil Adamou (born 8 April 1975) is a retired Algerian long jumper. At the 1995 African Junior Championships he won the triple jump and won the silver medal in the long jump. He won bronze medals in the long jump at the 2002 and 2004 African Championships. Biography A native speaker of the Zarma language, Idé left his home in Niamey, Niger, to study public administration in France, receiving degrees from The Sorbonne (''Université de Paris I'') and the Institut international d'administration publique in Paris, serving as an official in the Government of Niger and in international organizations. Idé published his first collection of poems, ''Cri Inachivé'' (''The Unfinished Cry'') in 1984, and his first novel in 1987. He has published both in French and in Zarma. Adamou Assane Mayaki (June 1919 – summer 2003) was a Nigerien politician and diplomat. Mayaki was the Foreign Minister of Niger from 1963–1965, and a leading member of the ruling PPN-RDA party. Mayaki was born in Filingué in June 1919. His family was of a royal Sudié line, a Hausa speaking subgroup which governed the town under French colonial rule. His grandfather was the first French appointed Chef du Canton of the area, and his father was Serkin of Filingué until 1935. Mayaki attended the French teachers college at Kati, Mali, became a civil engineer, and became active in politics in 1946 as a leader of the Nigerien Action Bloc (BNA), which later became the Union of Nigerien Independents and Sympathisers (UNIS), one of two pre-independence parties contesting the 1952 territorial elections.
