Adam Warwick
Adam Warwick (born 21 January 1977) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played for the North Queensland Cowboys and Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League. He primarily played . Playing career In round 7 of the 1997 Super League season, Warwick made his first grade debut in the North Queensland Cowboys 4–6 loss to the Western Reds at the WACA Ground. He scored his first try six weeks later in the Cowboys' Round 13 loss to Canterbury. In 1998, Warwick played seven games in his final season with the North Queensland outfit. In 1999, Warwick joined the Brisbane Broncos, playing for their Queensland Cup feeder club, the Toowoomba Clydesdales. The North Queensland Cowboys is an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Townsville, the largest town in North Queensland. They compete in Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). Coached by Tim Sheens and captained by Ian Roberts, they competed in the breakaway News Limited-run competition, the Telstra Cup. Season summary After an improved 1996 season, the club pulled off a major coup in signing three-time premiership winning coach Tim Sheens from the Canberra Raiders, who brought five players with him from his old club, including Australia and Queensland representative hooker Steve Walters. The 2000 Brisbane Broncos season was the thirteenth in the club's history. Coached by Wayne Bennett and captained by Kevin Walters, they competed in the NRL's 2000 Telstra Premiership, finishing the regular season 1st (out of 14 teams) to claim their 4th minor premiership before going on to win the 2000 NRL Grand final, their fifth title in nine years. Coached by Tim Sheens and captained by John Lomax, they competed in the inaugural season of the newly formed National Rugby League (NRL) competition. Redcliffe Dolphins
The Redcliffe Dolphins are a semi-professional rugby league club based in Redcliffe, Queensland, Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia. Founded in 1947, they were accepted into the Brisbane Rugby League premiership (rugby league competition), Brisbane Rugby League (BRL) premiership competition in 1960, and since 1996 have played in the Queensland Cup. The Redcliffe Dolphins thrived in the BRL. However, the 1988 admission of the Brisbane Broncos team in the National Rugby League, National Rugby League (NRL) competition caused the decline of the BRL.
