Adam Waczyński
Adam Waczyński (born October 15, 1989) is a Polish professional basketball player for Baxi Manresa of the Liga ACB. He also represents the senior Polish national basketball team. He is a 1.99 m (6'6 ") tall shooting guard-small forward. Professional career In July 2016, he signed a three-year contract with the Spanish team Unicaja. In the 2016–17 season, Waczyński won the EuroCup with Unicaja, after beating Valencia in the Finals. On July 17, 2020, he re-signed with Unicaja. On September 9, 2021, Waczyński signed with Casademont Zaragoza of the Liga ACB. National team career Waczyński made his debut with the senior Polish national basketball team at EuroBasket 2011. He also played at the EuroBasket 2013, the EuroBasket 2015, and the EuroBasket 2017. Baloncesto Málaga, S.A.D., for sponsorship reasons named Unicaja, is a Spanish professional basketball team that is based in Málaga, Spain. The team plays in the Liga ACB and the Basketball Champions League. The team is sponsored by the Spanish bank Unicaja. History Unicaja was originally founded in 1977, as CB Caja de Ronda. In 1992, the club merged another ACB team in the city of Málaga, CB Maristas de Málaga, which was originally founded in 1953 as Ademar Basket Club. The Polish Basketball Supercup ( Polish: "Superpuchar Polski w Koszykówce") is the supercup game of Polish men's top-tier level professional club basketball. Each season, the winner of the Polish League, plays against the winner of the Polish Cup, to cap off the new season. The 2007–08 Euroleague was the 8th season of the professional basketball competition for elite clubs throughout Europe, organised by Euroleague Basketball Company, and it was the 51st season of the premier competition for European men's clubs overall. EuroBasket 2017
EuroBasket 2017 was the 40th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe and held between 31 August and 17 September 2017. Beginning from 2017, the continental championships take place every four years with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Like the previous edition, the tournament was co-hosted by four countries. Games in the group stage were held in Turkey, Finland, Israel and Romania. The knock-out phase was played in Istanbul, Turkey. Slovenia won their first-ever tournament after defeating Serbia 93–85 in the final. EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015. The top two teams ( and ) qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. EuroBasket 2013 was the 38th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It took place from 4 September until 22 September 2013 in Slovenia. The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game.
