Adam Munro
Adam Munro (born November 12, 1982) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Hamilton Steelhawks of the Allan Cup Hockey (ACH) league. Playing career Munro was drafted in the 1st round, 29th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed as free agent with HC Fribourg-Gotteron (Switzerland) on July 7, 2006. He spent the 2007–08 season with the Columbus Blue Jackets' AHL affiliate, The Syracuse Crunch. During the 2008–09 AHL season he played in the Toronto Marlies, the farm team for the Toronto Maple Leafs. On October 15, 2009, Munro was re-signed by the Marlies under a professional try-out contract. He was released from his contract on November 17, 2009, but was re-signed by the Marlies on November 24, 2009. Munro was released again by the Marlies on January 12, 2010. Syracuse Crunch
The Syracuse Crunch are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They play in Syracuse, New York, at the Upstate Medical University Arena. They are the primary development affiliate of the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning. History Vancouver and Pittsburgh affiliations (1994–2000) The franchise originated in 1992 as the Hamilton Canucks, which was an affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks played in Hamilton, Ontario, for two seasons, before relocating to upstate New York in 1994. They were then renamed the "Crunch" from a public vote that included five names. The 2008–09 AHL season was the 73rd season of the American Hockey League. 29 teams each played 80 games in the regular season, which ran from October 8 until April 12. This is a complete list of ice hockey players who were drafted in the National Hockey League by the Chicago Blackhawks franchise. It includes every player who was drafted, regardless of whether they played for the team. The NHL Entry Draft is held each June, allowing teams to select players who have turned 18 years old by September 15 in the year the draft is held. The draft order is determined by the previous season's order of finish, with non-playoff teams drafting first, followed by the teams that made the playoffs, with the specific order determined by the number of points earned by each team. The Erie Otters are a Major junior ice hockey team based in Erie, Pennsylvania. They are members of the Midwest division of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), one of only three American teams in the circuit.
