Adam Wayne Miller (born November 26, 1984) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Career Miller graduated from McKinney High School in 2003 and was selected by the Cleveland Indians as a sandwich pick (31st overall) in the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft. After a strong campaign in with Lake County and Kinston, elbow problems in slowed down his rise through the ranks. Miller only managed 15 starts combined between Mahoning Valley and Kinston. Healthy again and rated as the organization's top prospect by '' Baseball America'', his journey toward the big leagues resumed in . He started the 2008 season as a starting pitcher with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons after being placed on the 40-man roster for the Cleveland Indians in November . Adam Edward Miller (born 19 February 1982) is a retired footballer. He began his career with Ipswich Town but failed to make the first team and played for several non-league teams before joining Queens Park Rangers, where he made his Football League debut in December 2004. He later joined Stevenage Borough, but followed manager Mark Stimson to Gillingham in late 2007. He represented the England National Game XI and played at Wembley Stadium in the final of the FA Trophy. Early life Miller was born in Hemel Hempstead, but grew up in the Monkwick district of Colchester, where his family still lived as of 2004. He attended The Stanway School in the town. Adam Galloway Miller (21 October 1887 – 1972) was a Scottish footballer who played as a left back, primarily for Hamilton Academical. He played in the 1911 Scottish Cup Final which ''Accies'' lost to Celtic after a replay. He also played in the Scottish Football League for St Mirren and Johnstone. Adam Miller (1883 – 21 December 1917) was a Scottish professional footballer who played in the Scottish League for Hibernian and Raith Rovers as a centre forward. Personal life Miller was educated at Eyemouth Public School. Prior to emigrating to Brisbane, Australia in 1912, he worked as a tailor and served in the Royal Garrison Artillery. In December 1914, four months after the outbreak of the First World War, he attested as a private in the 9th Battalion, Royal Queensland Regiment in Ayr. On 8 April 1915, Miller departed for the fighting from Brisbane on the HMAT ''Star of England'' and saw action at Gallipoli and on the Western Front. He was promoted to lance corporal in August 1916, but immediately reverted to private upon his own request. Adam Miller (born November 21, 1984) is an American professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing with Frederikshavn White Hawks of the Metal Ligaen. Career In 2008, following four years at Ferris State University, the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL signed Miller to an amateur try-out agreement. In the 2008–09 season, Miller played 54 regular-season games and 18 playoff games with the Wranglers, and also skated in 10 games with the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL). Adam Miller Jr. (born January 23, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Arizona State Sun Devils of the Pac-12 Conference. He previously played for the Illinois Fighting Illini and LSU Tigers. High school career In his freshman season, Miller played basketball for Manual High School in Peoria, Illinois. With residency beginning in 1727, Adam Miller (Mueller) is recognized as the first permanent white settler in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, US. Born in 1703 in Schriesheim, Germany, Miller immigrated to America as a young married man, settling in Lancaster County, PA in 1724. On a trip through eastern Virginia, Miller heard reports about a lush Valley to the west which had been discovered by Governor Alexander Spotswood's legendary Knights of the Golden Horseshoe Expedition. In 1727, Miller and his wife Barbara moved from Pennsylvania to Virginia and staked out a claim on the south fork of the Shenandoah River, near the line that now divides Rockingham County from Page County.
