Adam May (television Reporter)
Adam May is a former television news anchor and reporter at WBAL-TV in Baltimore. He was previously lead contributor to Al Jazeera America's flagship show, ''America Tonight.'' May was also previously an anchor and reporter at Baltimore’s CBS owned and operated station, WJZ-TV. About May attended the University of Minnesota. He started his career at KBJR in Duluth, MN before working at WHAS in Louisville, KY, and WAAY in Huntsville, AL. In 2003, he joined WJZ-TV in Baltimore. Adam May's investigative stories have covered issues including the energy crisis, port security, witness intimidation and prison staffing shortages. In 2006, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences named May "Best Live Reporter" for the Mid-Atlantic region. Al Jazeera America was an American pay television news channel owned by the Al Jazeera Media Network. The channel was launched on August 20, 2013, to compete with CNN, HLN, MSNBC, Fox News, and in certain markets RT America. WHAS (840 AM) is a radio station owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. and licensed to Louisville, Kentucky. Its studios are located in the Louisville enclave of Watterson Park, and the transmitter site is in Long Run, in far east Jefferson County. First licensed in July 1922, it is the oldest radio station in Kentucky. WHAS is a clear channel station, operating around the clock on 840 kHz with 50,000 watts. WAAY
WAAY-TV (channel 31) is a television station in Huntsville, Alabama, United States, affiliated with ABC and owned by Allen Media Broadcasting. The station's studios and transmitter are located on Monte Sano Boulevard on top of Monte Sano Mountain. History The station's first broadcast was on August 1, 1959 as WAFG-TV. It was the second television outlet in the Huntsville region, signing on five years after NBC affiliate WMSL-TV (now WAFF). In addition, WAFG-TV is the longest serving station licensed to Huntsville, as WMSL was still licensed to Decatur at the time.
