Adam Mascherin
Adam Mascherin (; born June 6, 1998) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played for Skellefteå AIK in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He was originally drafted 38th overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft but, after failing to sign with the team, he was re-drafted by the Dallas Stars in 2018. Early life Mascherin was born on June 6, 1998, in Maple, Ontario and attended Maple High School, to parents Sandy and Sylvie. Growing up, he would shoot 500 pucks a day into a net in front of his parents’ garage while his twin brother Aedan stood in net. Eventually, his brother and friends refused to be his goaltender due to his hard shots. He also played basketball from elementary school until Grade 8 when he chose to fixate on hockey. Maple is a neighbourhood in Vaughan, York Region, Ontario, Canada. It is located northwest of Toronto. Kitchener Rangers
The Kitchener Rangers are a major junior ice hockey team based in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. They are members of the Midwest Division of the Western Conference of the Ontario Hockey League. The Rangers have won the J. Ross Robertson Cup as OHL champions in 1981, 1982, 2003 and 2008. Iowa Wild
The Iowa Wild are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League, that began play for the 2013–14 season. The team plays at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, as the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild. The team was formerly the Houston Aeros, in Houston, Texas, before being relocated to Des Moines, beginning with the 2013–14 AHL season as the Iowa Wild. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). Jim Nill
James Edward Nill (born April 11, 1958) is a Canadian former ice hockey player and the current general manager of the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL). Nill played in the NHL throughout the 1980s with the St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets, and Detroit Red Wings, retiring in 1990. Prior to making his NHL debut Nill also played for Canada at the 1980 Winter Olympics. He worked as a scout for the Ottawa Senators before joining the Red Wings in an executive role in 1994, staying with the team before moving to take up the general manager role with Dallas in 2013. Peterborough Petes
The Peterborough Petes are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. The team has played at the Peterborough Memorial Centre in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, since 1956, and is the oldest continuously operating team in the league. The 2016–17 OHL season was the 37th season of the Ontario Hockey League, in which twenty teams played 68 games each according to the regular season schedule, from September 21, 2016 to March 21, 2017. The playoffs began on March 23, 2017 and ended on May 12. The Erie Otters won the J. Tom Rowe (ice Hockey)
Thomas John Rowe (born May 23, 1956) is an American ice hockey executive, former player and coach. Career Selected by the Washington Capitals in the 1976 NHL Entry Draft, Rowe also played for the Hartford Whalers and Detroit Red Wings. He was also a member of the United States national team at the 1977 Ice Hockey World Championships. Rowe was the first American-born player to score 30 or more goals in an NHL season. He accomplished this feat in the 1978–79 season with the Washington Capitals. That season he scored 31 goals in 69 games. Rowe was an assistant coach for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League from 2008 until 2011. Rowe previously coached the Albany River Rats and Lowell Lock Monsters. The 2015–16 OHL season was the 36th season of the Ontario Hockey League, in which twenty teams played 68 games each according to the regular season schedule, from September 2015 to March 2016. The Plymouth Whalers relocated to Flint and became the Flint Firebirds, playing at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center. The Belleville Bulls relocated to Hamilton and became the Hamilton Bulldogs, playing at FirstOntario Centre. The London Knights won the J. Ross Robertson Cup for the fourth time in franchise history, as they defeated the Niagara IceDogs in four games in the final round of the playoffs. NHL Central Scouting Bureau
The NHL Central Scouting Services (CSS) is a department within the National Hockey League that ranks prospects for the NHL Entry Draft at specific times during the hockey season. Players are ranked based on how well they will translate to the professional game in the National Hockey League. It was founded by hockey executive Jack Button in 1975 to establish a centralized database of NHL prospects. Button served as the director until 1979. Its current director is Dan Marr.
