Adam Jennings
Adam Jennings (born November 17, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Fresno State. Jennings was also a member of the Detroit Lions and New York Giants. College career At Fresno State, Jennings was an All- WAC first-team selection as a kickoff returner during his senior year. He was also an academic All-WAC pick for four consecutive years. Professional career Atlanta Falcons Jennings was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. In two seasons with the Falcons, he totaled six receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown in 38 games while contributing with 53 punt returns. He was cut by the Falcons on November 11, 2008. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured. A return specialist or kick returner is a player on the special teams unit of a gridiron football team who specializes in returning punts and kickoffs. There are few players who are exclusively return specialists; most also play another position such as wide receiver, defensive back, or running back.
