Adalberto Madero
Adalberto Arturo Madero Quiroga (born 25 September 1969) is a Mexican lawyer and right-wing politician from Nuevo León who has served in the upper house of the Mexican Congress. He was the municipal president of Monterrey from 2006 to 2009. Personal life and education Madero is the son of Armando Arturo Madero Almada and Nieves Quiroga de Madero. He studied law at the Universidad Regiomontana. He has speech disfluency problems. Political career Madero is a member of the National Action Party (PAN). He has been legal advisor to various PAN public servants in his native Nuevo León and has occupied different positions inside his party including Undersecretary of Finance. He served as a local deputy in the LXVIII Legislature of the Congress of Nuevo León from 1997 to 2000. In 2000 he became one of the youngest senators to serve in Congress. Congress Of Nuevo León
The Congress of the State of Nuevo León is the legislative branch of the government of the Mexican state of Nuevo León. The congress is the governmental deliberative body of Nuevo León, which is equal to, and independent of, the executive (the Governor of Nuevo León and his/her cabinet). History In July 1824 the first 11 deputies to congress were elected, creating the first Nuevo León Legislature on August 1, 1824. In 1917 the number of deputies was increased to 15. Since then until the number of deputies has changed several times. All deputies in the congress were elected by popular vote until 1979 when some seats in the congress were distributed by an apportionment process. Since its installation the congress has been renewed 70 times. Abel Guerra Garza (born 30 July 1954 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) who has served twice as municipal president of Escobedo, Nuevo León (1992-1994 and 1997-2000), and once as a federal congressman in the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico, lower house of the Congress of Mexico, Mexican Congress (2000–2002). Guerra holds a bachelor's degree in Architecture and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL). In 2003 he was elected local deputy to serve in the Congress of Nuevo León but left that position to serve in the cabinet of Governor of Nuevo León, Governor José Natividad González Parás. The Institutional Revolutionary Party ( es, Partido Revolucionario Institucional, ; abbr. PRI) is a political party in Mexico that was founded in 1929 and held uninterrupted power in the country for 71 years, from 1929 to 2000, first as the National Revolutionary Party ( es, Partido Nacional Revolucionario, PNR), then as the Party of the Mexican Revolution ( es, Partido de la Revolución Mexicana, PRM) and finally as the PRI beginning in 1946.
