Roberto Gavaldón (June 7, 1909 in Jiménez, Chihuahua – September 4, 1986 in Mexico City) was a Mexican film director. Eight of Gavaldón's films were featured on the list 100 Best Movies of the Cinema of Mexico. His 1958 film ''Ash Wednesday'' was entered into the 8th Berlin International Film Festival and his 1959 film ''Beyond All Limits'' was entered into the following years festival. His 1960 film '' Macario'' was entered into the 1960 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Yolanda Varela
Yolanda Varela was a Mexican actress. Born in Mexico City on 30 March 1930, she started acting at a very early age. She studied ballet in the National Institute of the Performing Arts. Varela was the leading actress in many Mexican films and some Spanish/Mexican co-productions. Dolores Camarillo (March 31, 1910 – February 8, 1988) was a Mexican character actress of film, television, and theater. She also was a makeup artist for films, and was frequently billed as "Fraustita". Personal life The daughter of actors, Camarillo was a makeup artist for films in the 1930s. She was also a makeup teacher in the Andrés Soler Institute. She was married to fellow film actor Antonio R. Frausto, to whom she owed her professional nickname of "Fraustita", or meaning "little woman Frausto".
