Acura ARX-05
The Acura ARX-05 is a sports prototype racing car built to Daytona Prototype International regulations. It was developed in partnership by Honda Performance Development and Oreca, and is based on the Oreca 07 chassis and powered by the Acura AR35TT twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine. The car made its racing debut at the 2018 24 Hours of Daytona with Team Penske. In 2019 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, 2019, the car won the drivers', teams' and manufacturers' titles in the top DPi class of the International Motor Sports Association, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, becoming the first non-General Motors car to do so. Acura and Team Penske successfully defended their titles in 2020 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, 2020, winning all of the DPi class championships. Daytona Prototype International
A Daytona Prototype International (DPi) was a type of sports prototype racing car developed specifically for the International Motor Sports Association's WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, as their top class of car, acting as a direct replacement, and spiritual successor of the Daytona Prototypes. They are named after the main series event, the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The class made its racing debut at the 2017 24 Hours of Daytona. The Daytona Prototype International will be replaced by a joint IMSA- ACO class known as Le Mans Daytona h (LMDh) for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2023. Filipe Miguel Delgadinho Albuquerque (born 13 June 1985) is a Portuguese professional racing driver, currently driving a Acura ARX-05 in the IMSA SportsCar Championship for Wayne Taylor Racing, and an Oreca 07 in the FIA World Endurance Championship for United Autosports. A double wishbone suspension is an independent suspension design for automobiles using two (occasionally parallel) wishbone-shaped arms to locate the wheel.
