Action Coalition For Thailand Party
Action Coalition Party (ACP; th, พรรครวมพลัง, ; literally 'join people forces') is a political party in Thailand founded on 25 May 2018 by Tavisak Na Taguathung, lawyer of Suthep Thaugsuban. On 3 June 2018, the Action Coalition for Thailand Party held its first meeting and outlined its platform and its determination to reform the country. The party's rhetoric is similar to that of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), the main pressure group of the 2013–2014 Thai political crisis. Former PDRC leader Suthep Thaugsuban is ACT's most prominent member, serving as chairman of the campaign committee. Suthep Thaugsuban
Suthep Thaugsuban ( th, สุเทพ เทือกสุบรรณ; , ) (born 7 July 1949) is a Thai former politician and former Member of Parliament for Surat Thani province. Until 2011, he was secretary-general of the Democrat Party and a deputy prime minister under Abhisit Vejjajiva. He resigned his seat in Parliament in November 2013 to become the self-appointed Secretary-general of the People's Democratic Reform Committee, which was conducting mass protests trying to unseat the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. After the military coup of May 22, 2014, Suthep was temporarily detained and placed under arrest by the new junta. He was released after four days, retired from politics, and entered Buddhist monastichood from July 2014 to July 2015. Mom Ratchawongse Chatumongol Sonakul ( th, จัตุมงคล โสณกุล) is Thailand's former Labour Minister and a former permanent secretary of the Ministry of Finance (Thailand), Ministry of Finance of Thailand, and Governor of the Bank of Thailand. 2013–2014 Thai Political Crisis
The 2013–2014 Thai political crisis was a period of political instability in Thailand. Anti-government protests took place between November 2013 and May 2014, organised by the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), a political pressure group led by former Democrat Party parliamentary representative ( MP) Suthep Thaugsuban. The crisis eventually resulted in the removal of incumbent Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, a coup d'état, and the establishment of a military junta. The primary aim of the protests was the removal of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's – the brother of Yingluck – influence on Thai politics and the creation of an unelected "people's council" to oversee reforms of the political system. Blue
Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. It lies between violet and cyan on the spectrum of visible light. The eye perceives blue when observing light with a dominant wavelength between approximately 450 and 495 nanometres. Absolute monarchy (or Absolutism as a doctrine) is a form of monarchy in which the monarch rules in their own right or power. In an absolute monarchy, the king or queen is by no means limited and has absolute power, though a limited constitution may exist in some countries. These are often hereditary monarchies. Anek Laothamatas ( th, เอนก เหล่าธรรมทัศน์) is a Thai political scientist and politician. He serves as Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation in the second cabinet of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha since 5 August 2020. Early life and education Anek graduated from middle school at Assumption College Lampang and high school at Assumption College. After that in 1972, he took the entrance examination for higher education at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. He co-founded Chulalongkorn People's Party in 1976. After the 6 October 1976 massacre, he took political asylum in the forest in Phatthalung, Trang and Satun provinces for about 4 years. He moved to the United States, and studied political sciences at the College of Charleston, where he got a BA, and then got a master's from the University of Georgia.
