''Act of Faith '' is the fourth studio album by the American band Mucky Pup. It was released in 1992. It was the last studio album to feature founding member and guitarist Dan Nastasi. It features the debuts of bassist Christopher "Junior" LaPlante and keyboardist Kevin Powers. A video was shot for the song "Mr. Hand." Mucky Pup
Mucky Pup were an American hardcore and crossover thrash band formed in Bergenfield, New Jersey, United States, in 1986, when brothers Chris (vocals) and John (drums) Milnes joined up with Scott Dottino (bass) and Dan Nastasi (guitar) as the cover band, Predator. The band soon began writing original material and changed the band name to Mucky Pup. Over the years, the band went through several line-up changes and musical style changes while gaining minor success in both the USA and Europe. Their breakthrough moment occurred when they won second place in a ''Bloom County'' comic strip contest, resulting in the band performing a song featured on a flexi disc packaged with a 1987 ''Bloom County'' comic strip compilation. ''Lemonade'' is the fifth studio album by Mucky Pup. It was released in 1993, and was the last record for Century Media Records. This album saw the band's style change by moving away from their comedic humorous songs into a more aggressive yet melodic sound. Since Dan Nastasi and Christopher "Junior" LaPlante left the band, John Milnes moved to guitar, Kevin Powers became the band's drummer, and piano and synthesizer were added. The album also saw the return of Marc DeBacker on bass. Glen Cummings from Scatterbrain became a co-producer for the band, and also played guitar on two songs. Nastasee was an American hardcore band formed in Bergen County, New Jersey by former Mucky Pup, Dog Eat Dog, and Murphy's Law guitar player, Dan Nastasi. Nastasee recorded two albums featuring collaborations with members of Mucky Pup, Dog Eat Dog, Non-Fiction, Hades and Murphy's Law. History Origins Dan Nastasi was a founding member and guitarist of Mucky Pup, a Bergenfield, New Jersey hardcore and crossover thrash band formed in 1985.
