Federico Veiroj (born 1976 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. Veiroj studied Communications at the UCUDAL. Coming of age is a young person's transition from being a child to being an adult. The specific age at which this transition takes place varies between societies, as does the nature of the change. It can be a simple legal convention or can be part of a ritual or spiritual event, as practiced by many societies. The 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival was held from 14 to 25 May 2008. The President of the Official Jury was American actor and director Sean Penn. Twenty two films from fourteen countries were selected to compete for the ''Palme d'Or''. The awards were announced on 24 May.
