Achike Udenwa
Achike Udenwa (born in 1948) was the governor of Imo State in Nigeria. He became governor after winning the election in 1999. Udenwa won re-election in 2003, and his term ended on 29 May 2007. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party. Udenwa is also an Igbo chief. He was succeeded by Chief Ikedi Ohakim on 29 May 2007. In December 2008, President Umaru Yar'Adua appointed him Minister of Commerce and Industry. Governor Of Imo State
The Governor of Imo State is an elective political position. He's one of the governors of the thirty-six states in Nigeria. The governor of Imo State is the chief executive officer of Imo state and its executive branch with the assistance of the Deputy Governor (his political running-mate). Fourteen different people have served as governor of Imo State; 8 military governors, 2 military administrators and 7 democratic governors since the state was created in 1976. The current governor of the state is Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress, in office since January 15, 2020. Umaru Yar'Adua
Umaru Musa Yar'Adua (16 August 19515 May 2010) was a Nigerian politician who, was the President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. He was declared the winner of the Nigerian presidential election held on 21 April 2007, and was sworn in on 29 May 2007. He served previously as the governor of Katsina state from 1999 to 2007; and was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In 2009, Yar'Adua left for Saudi Arabia to receive treatment for pericarditis. He returned to Nigeria on 24 February 2010, but died on 5 May. Igbo (people)

Tanko Zubairu
Colonel Tanko Zubairu was the Military Administrator of Imo State, Nigeria from August 1996 until May 1999, when he handed over to the elected civilian governor Achike Udenwa. During his tenure, he had to deal with violent protests over ritual killings. In 1997 he signed warrants for execution by firing squad of six men accused of this crime.
