''Aces Go Places 5: The Terracotta Hit'' is a 1989 Hong Kong action comedy film directed by Lau Kar-leung with action choreography by Lau Kar-wing. This is the fifth installment in the ''Aces Go Places'' film series. It was released in the United States as ''Mad Mission 5: The Terracotta Hit''. It is the last one to feature the same cast members, and the last to be produced by Cinema City before their shut down in 1991. Plot King Kong and Baldy, the "Aces," part ways in 1986 after a mission in Thailand to kidnap a woman on her way to marry her boyfriend (a rich man claiming to be her husband enlisted the Aces' services) goes sour. Three years later, figures from the famous Terracotta Army and a Qing Dynasty bronze sword called the "Chinese Excalibur" is stolen during their transport to an exhibition in Hong Kong. Lau Kar-leung
Lau Kar-leung (28 July 1934 – 25 June 2013), was a Chinese actor, filmmaker, choreographer, and martial artist from Hong Kong. Lau is best known for the films he made in the 1970s and 1980s for the Shaw Brothers Studio. His most famous works include ''The 36th Chamber of Shaolin'' starring Gordon Liu as well as ''Drunken Master II'' starring Jackie Chan. History Lau began learning kung fu when he was nine years old, under strict tutelage from his father. Before becoming famous, Lau worked as an extra and choreographer on black and white Wong Fei-hung movies. He teamed up with fellow Wong Fei-hung choreographer on the 1963 Hu Peng-directed wuxia film ''South Dragon, North Phoenix''. Their collaboration would continue on until the mid-1970s. Conan Lee Yuen-Ba 李元霸 (born Lloyd Hutchinson; 1959), is a Hong Kong-born American film actor and martial artist. Early life Conan Lee was born in Hong Kong, but grew up in Queens, New York as Lloyd Hutchinson. During this period he was trained in his father's self-defense methods. Lee explored a wide variety of both Western and Chinese martial arts. These included Boxing, Kung Fu, Taekwondo and Karate. Lu Yan (路巖) (829–874), courtesy name Luzhan (魯瞻), was an official of the Tang dynasty of China, serving as a chancellor during the reign of Emperor Yizong. Background and early career Lu Yan was born in 829, during the reign of Emperor Wenzong. Hung Yan-yan (born 25 February 1965, also credited as 熊欣欣 or Xiong Xin Xin) is a Hong Kong martial artist, actor, stuntman and action director originally from Liuzhou, Guangxi, China. Willy Dozan, formerly known by his stage name Billy Chong (born Chuang Chen Li (庄陈力), 10 February 1957, Magelang, Indonesia) is an Indonesian martial artist, actor and stuntman. Walter Tso Tat-Wah (15 September 1915 – 10 January 2007) was a film actor of Hong Kong, most famous for the roles he played in a number of ''Wuxia'' films in the 1950s and 1960s. The names Cho Tat-wah and Shih Kien were synonymous to "good and evil" in the colloquial language of Hong Kong because of the roles the two actors played in those movies.
