''Accused'' ( nl, Lucia de B.) is a 2014 Dutch drama film directed by Paula van der Oest and written by Moniek Kramer. It was selected as the Dutch entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards, making the January Shortlist. Paula Van Der Oest
Paula van der Oest (born 1965) is a Dutch film director and screenwriter. Her 2001 film ''Zus & Zo'' was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. With her final exam at the Dutch Film and Television Academy, ''Zinderend'', she won a Cannon Award in 1988. In the following years, she worked as an assistant director, until she returned in 1994 as a director. For the VPRO-series '' Lolamoviola'' she made the short movies ''Coma'' and ''Achilles en het zebrapad'' (Achilles and the Zebracrossing). With the first, she won a Golden Calf for the best television drama. In 1996 Van der Oest made her first long movie, ''De nieuwe moeder'' (''The New Mother''). Her husband at the time, Theu Boermans, had a role in this movie (later, he would also have a role in ''Zus & Zo''). Fedja Van Huêt
Fedja van Huêt (born 21 June 1973, in The Hague) is a Dutch stage and film actor. Van Huêt received his professional training at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts. He was in the ensemble of the theater companies RO Theater and Theatercompagnie/Hollandia. At present, Van Huêt is connected to Toneelgroep Amsterdam. This is a list of submissions to the 87th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has invited the film industries of a number of countries to submit their best film for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film every year since the award was created in 1956. It is presented annually by the Academy to a feature-length film produced outside the United States with primarily non-English dialogue. The Foreign Language Film Award Committee oversees the process, reviewing all films submitted. For the 87th Academy Awards, held on 22 February 2015, a submitted motion picture must be released theatrically in its respective country between 1 October 2013 and 30 September 2014. Submission of a film does not automatically qualify it for the competition; AMPAS has the final word on eligibility, and has disqualified submissions in the past.
